it started with beats you could distantly trace all the way from our parents' houses, kicked out from 2 giant portable speakers we'd take shifts to lug down the 'top track', maltby, rotherham, rave capital of the uk and our universe
before that (and after, and after, and after) there was happy valley; a different cluster of woods in a different part of town, on the other side of the train tracks that skirted the old monastery where the ones who came before us - in some cases our literal fathers, in many others our gurus - showed us how they'd been doing it before we were even born
and on that happy valley underpass, an emblem etched on the stone, to a vision of ephemeral shapes moving blindingly on a dancefloor teeming with love - 'flock'

Since bringing the dance into Sheffâs best venueâs weâve thrown it down with the likes of Sally C, Horse Meat Disco, Inland Knights and Demi RiquĂsimo to name a few.
