FLOAT096 out now: Research by @gene_richards_jr on @floatrecords . Four unconventional tracks, each driven by the unmistakable energy and jackin’ twists Gene threads through his productions, with @vinihonoriobr adding a standout rework. Ukrainian-born Gene Richards Jr surfaced in 2020 via Marco Farone’s UNCAGED and has since landed on Be as One, CLR, Truncate and Rekids. His work sits in a lineage shaped by Mark Broom, James Ruskin, Ben Sims and Jeff Mills, with Detroit and Chicago roots running underneath the old-school techno frame.
