The event will include a therapeutic movement workshop led by Camps Breakerz co-founder Ahmed Alghariz; a panel discussion; live music and dance performances; DJs & MCs; and a Get Down for Gaza breaking competition. Just A Number (Institutionalised) by @lowendactivist is out now. I feel very grateful to have worked with Jamie on this project, creating a visual accompaniment to this powerful track. Too often the systems in place that are supposed to be in service to young people are doing them a total disservice. Instead of having space to develop hope and trust, young people are being subjected to something a lot darker and more volatile. This needs to change. We all need to commit to actualising the change we want to see. It takes a village. Mentoring reduces youth violence by 21%.

This year has been a lot of learning and growing. I feel grateful and finally able to reflect. The process is everything. I’m starting to see each moment as part of something much bigger. Sharing in this way isn’t the most me, but as this beautiful chosen family is growing around me, I realise we must hold hands and communicate the process with openness and trust. I’ve moved through the weight whilst recognising and valuing the moments where the light pours in. I try to let that guide and provide hope - personally and collectively. 1 - Marseille, a moment of processing. 2 - On a panel at @thatonesabina ‘s event for @gluh.world exploring the concept of home. 3 - @estatirass holding the first proof copy of ARCCA, a familiar and magical soul. 4 - @matteo.p.i.n.i and @kevsantiagoh in Hastings. Two pillars of love and support who always provide me with so much kindness. 5 - @arccamagazine in the world and fly postered all over London! 6 - At @viennashorts where they screened my music video Maybe It’s Not Our Time Yet, and asked me some questions… someone started snoring in the audience haha. 7 - 20 hours spent at Glasto with 1 small bag of chips and 1 smaller handbag to last us. Moving through to @lankumdublin 8 - Dancing with my soul sister @iji.keia 9 - Post panel discussion at @weoutherefest - a real highlight. I feel blessed to now be able to call @magspierre777 my mentor. 10 - Fleur and Danny dancing in the rain - doing it all with him by my side is the biggest gift. It’s hard to put into words my love and appreciation for the most beautiful person I know. 11 - ARCCA Grow Together at @dkhap sitting alongside a very wise soul. 12 - @kevsantiagoh @_emmalwarren_ & @g00d.kn0wl3dge sitting and sharing in the garden. I feel so lucky to call them family. 13 - My dear friend Georgina who I met through telephone befriending with @volunteerhackney - she sadly passed away this year, but the 3 years I got to be her friend were truly incredible. Anyone who is thinking about telephone befriending I couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you Georgina for all your love and light. … continued in the comments …
