Storm Foster is a visual artist, sculptor, set designer and stylist. Through Storm’s work they explore the poetics of everyday objects through an anthropological lens. Their work, informed by their own background, focusing on themes of race, Black aesthetics, and initiating dialogues around fetishization, stereotypes, history, memory, identity, and childhood as relatable entry points. Driven by a diasporic longing for their Nigerian-Jamaican heritage, the artist creates their own African-inspired imagery and fantasies. By transforming the ordinary into mythical structures drawn from research, personal experiences, and popular culture, their art serves as an archive, building both a personal and collective history.
We feel extremely excited to have Storm doing the set design for our event on Sunday 25th May. Tickets in bio ❤️
