🎤 Emcee Oumense will be droppin' FREE workshops on rap over beats and poetry from the street on Wednesdays and Friday over the next few weeks

This Thursday 2nd April join Sophie, Mike and Bea for our Storyteller's Club.
We'll be playing with cameras, animation, masks and more to tell stories about Power.
Tell us a story - Write some dialogue, act a character, direct a scene, be behind the camera, make the costumes, paint the backdrop - come and play!

Today at DKHAP we will be joined by Susi from @frankbowlingstudio and she'll be showing us how to paint like Frank.
Join us from 2pm for free play and experiments with paint! Expect to get a bit messy.
The Adventure Playground will be open from 11am for all other adventurous play.

❤️Thanks to those of you who were able to join us at our AGM yesterday. For those of you who couldn’t make it, we wanted to share our exciting news with you.
🛖Southwark Council have agreed to work in partnership with us to build a new play building for Dog Kennel Hill Adventure Playground.
They have committed up to £1.2 million to ensure we get a building that suits our needs and serves as a beacon of play for our community.
⏱️ At our meeting, Councillor Ellie Cumbo who leads on Parks and Culture spoke to the council’s keenness to get this project completed as soon as possible owing to the long wait we have already experienced and the risk of inflation in the near future. Council officers are currently carrying out the feasibility commissioning process and will then involve us to proceed with the next steps.
🌞We want to reassure you that we intend to stay open throughout this process and will make sure that the children and young people who enjoy our playground get to be involved in shaping the building as the project develops.
❤️ Thank you for your support and encouragement over the years and we’d like to extend our thanks to @southwarkcouncil Leader Sarah King, Councillors Ellie Cumbo, Portia Mwangangye and the Parks and Culture team for demonstrating their commitment to the future of DKHAP.
🥳 Next year, Patrick and Davide will be celebrating 30 years at Adventure. We hope that part of the celebrations will involve cutting the ribbon on a new building that will enable our community to continue to play for another 30 years.
