HALLOWEEN COMMUNITY VOGUE NIGHT Last weekend’s Halloween Vogue Night was pure magic. Our hearts are full of gratitude for everyone who came together to make it unforgettable. Last night, the Magandjin community lit up our first community vogue night, with major support from the @flamingcarnations , led by the wonderful @imanilaumei of @__houseofreign 🦋. We also thank @houseofalexander__ for always guiding and showing up for our community & to everyone who had a helping hand in making this happen. 🙂‍↕️🥀

Content Warning: The Diva Gets Sentimental 💜 I don’t even really know where to begin, I’ll be so real. This process has been truly magic in so many ways and I’m so grateful that we were able to pull this off thanks to @backbone_brisbane and this epic EPIC team of artists. We put four trans performers on a stage to play four trans characters in the work of six trans writers, who were directed and lead in a rehearsal / devising process by trans people. AND THE WORK WAS BLOODY BRILLIANT!! (if I do say so myself lol) More than that it resonated with the trans people who came to see it. Having one of my scenes with @el.waddingham be referred as “the most transgender thing I’ve ever seen” by a trans audience member is the win of wins for me because that’s what this residency project was all about; doing some really transgender shit in really transgender ways with transgender people. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome or a better team of collaborators. I love y’all down. I might have more coherent and fancy words later but for now they fail me. So enjoy a cutesy lil collage and y’know,,, watch this space 👀.
