On May 12th we will host a talk with London-based artist Emily Kraus.
Emily Kraus (b.1995, NY, USA) lives and works in London. She received her Painting MA from the RCA in 2022, and a BA in Religious Studies from Kenyon College in 2017. Kraus works across painting, installation and performance, inverting the traditional choreography of painter and medium. She creates her compositions using a cube-like steel apparatus of her own design. Inherent to the process are fluctuations of chance, which Kraus harnesses in dialogue with her deliberate gestures. Kraus was included in The Artsy Vanguard 2025, New Contemporaries 2023, is a recipient of the Hopper Prize, and shortlisted for the John Moores Painting Prize.
The talk will take place at 7pm and is open to the public.
