Keen to sling amazing veggies at the Farmers’ Market with our First Light Farm team and go home with veggies afterwards? We want you!
The position primarily helps at the Farmers’ Market before noon and afterwards at the Farm on Saturdays throughout the season June - late October, roughly 7-8.5 hrs. Sundays are 3 hours in the morning, self-led for just July and August. The time at the farm will be spent harvesting a few of our hot season crops, loading the farm stand and some cleaning.
Please check out the position details in the link in our bio; send us an email if you are keen [email protected]
Check out our bustling market @revelstokefarmersmarket it’s a really good time
I’m absolutely stoked to say that I have joined the @hestragloves_na family. I have been a huge fan of this company for a long time both for their exceptional product and commitment to making sustainable products. Turns out making high quality products that last is a great place to start. I have spent a lot of time in the mountains, and having high quality gloves that have dexterity and warmth are essential. This is not an easy task and once you try a Hestra glove it’s easy to feel difference.
Recently they have branched into work gloves. When you work with your hands you need the same quality and craftsmanship. The Hestra Pro gloves are exceptional and will be on our hands all summer @firstlightfarm . Check them out.
The last two photos are the quiver of gloves I have chosen for winter and summer. Let me know if you have any questions.

After a great year of film festivals we are excited to share “Farming Turns” on YouTube. It is an in depth look at @chrisrubens journey to lower is carbon footprint and try to do things differently. A lot of the original motivation for starting the farm came from this. We hope this inspires and motivates more positivity in the climate change space. Check out the link in our profile and let us know what you think.

Thank you to our farm team this year; it was our longest, busiest season yet and the smiles and positive attitudes were still going strong until the last day! Thank you for showing up, honing your skills and improving our systems and caring so much.
We had our full-time crew of two amazing women, Georgie and Clare who were in the grind from the gorgeous April days, through the hustle of summer (and relentless mosquitoes) and deep into the cold fall, when the afternoon sneaks up on you and the pace of the farm moves a little slower. It’s pleasure working with you!
We were able to say yes a couple times to time off for these ladies as well, because we had some of our awesome part-time and past staff step in. Thank you Sage, Hannah, Sarah, Everett and Bruno for that!
Hannah is our main season farmers’ market star, ringing everyone through fast and with an amazing smile. She also showed up every Sunday to allow us a day off as a family and keep the farm stand stocked to the brim. Thank you thank you! We were able to go camping for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd time in 4 years 🥳
Sage majorly helped us get through the busy season with her incredible work ethic and sea shanties on Fridays. She’s always keen to help out if we need it and we look forward to her farm coming to fruition soon!
Bruno stepped in as our celebrity market teller extraordinaire for the last month and did some much appreciated labour days on the farm when we had just a bit too much going on to handle- thank you!
And of course Sarah (for mayor) Erikson who did a couple of our early markets and a, no “the” August long weekend cover and gives each and every person a chuckle as she’s doing her thing behind the till.
We obviously have more photos of 🥕🥕🌱than people and not everyone is ever here at the same time for one big group shot; but we appreciate you all and couldn’t have done this season without you. It takes a village to keep this farm churning out veggies.
Finally, We would not be able to do this without our incredible childcare. We are so grateful to have stable and fantastic care for our little guy. I know there isn’t enough care available and I really hope this changes soon. 🫶🏽
Wow what a great season we’ve had in 2025. Today marks our final greens harvest and that feels GOOD.
We delivered today to our incredible locally owned grocers who support us all season long and will continue to stock our winter storage veggies this year; a huge thank you to these stores for making it convenient for you to access our food.
Southside Market, @lemarcherevelstoke and @mountaingoodnessrevelstoke
We also are so lucky to have a community of chefs and restaurants who choose to put local ingredients on their plates for us all to enjoy; they are a pleasure to work with. Most of these restaurants have been working with us since year one for us, 6 seasons now!
Thank you @bigeddypub who we literally walk our deliveries to,

Thank you to our incredible team for getting me out the door in time to make it to each one of these places before daycare pickup, every Monday and every Thursday since May. 😘
Stay tuned for how to continue to get our incredible carrots and other veggies all winter long; when in doubt you can find them at the aforementioned businesses.
After a pretty busy and incredible summer these last two days might be the highlight of this little farm’s career. They say many hands make light work. I’m not sure the work was light but holy moly did we just crush out a lot of work in two days. We had no idea how long it would take to harvest all our carrots. Turns out with a good crew you can crush out over 9000lbs of carrots, all the beets and a couple of bonus farms tasks. Thank so much to an amazing crew. Needless to say it was pretty cool to fill up the new cooler with our “trial year” of roots.

Happy Thanksgiving!!! We have so much to be thankful for. First off this incredible community that we live in, so many of you go out of your way to support local businesses and food, thank you. Second a great growing season, all of a sudden we are in year six and we are starting to feel like we know what we are doing…sometimes. Third all of our wonderful employees that go above and beyond to make our little farm a success, thank you. Fourth, @raven.contracting has been working hard to get our new building up and running. While we still have a few more things to do, we turned on the big cooler for the first time today. A pretty insane milestone and perfect timing!
The veggies are still piling in, so make sure you stop by the @revelstokefarmersmarket to stock up for your Thanksgiving dinner. There is no better way to celebrate than eating delicious local fresh veggies!
We can’t think of a better day to come down to @revelstokefarmersmarket . The stand is full of fall veggies and a few summer tomato’s if you get here early. Happy fall.
