Fion Pellacini @fionpellacini ‚Dial Dialogue‘ (2026) at our current exhibition at @dortmunderkunstverein ‚Die Andere Seite der Nacht‘. The work reflects the unattainable self becoming clear and opening up in the moment of a dream. ‚Dial Dialogue’ references a chair back designed by Chilean painter Roberto Matta (1911–2002) for his dining room and turns it into a transparent lantern that can rise and fall like the moon above the exhibition. *** Die Andere Seite der Nacht With works by @javkhlan_ariunbold @anne.bourse Die Welttraumforscher @_rosannagraf_ Jean Katambayi Mukendi @_rasha.omar_ @fionpellacini and a nap room by @bompasandparr 15 February - 17 May 2026 Dortmunder Kunstverein Photos @art_architecture_documentation

Cheers to K21 Encounters in March: Pablo Schlumberger invites you to a drink under the K21 Dome. 🍸 Pablo Schlumberger’s nomadic Bar Putti responds to each new venue and its context, continually reshaping its form and orientation. After stops at Harburger Bahnhof (2019), the Neue Barmbeker Apotheke (2021), and the BPA in Cologne (2023), this time the bar appears as “Bar Putti of Pity” in a particularly secluded area of the fourth floor at K21. For one evening, the tubular space between the stair tower and the elevator will be transformed into a rooftop bar. Its ever-changing emblem – this time two cats weeping in fountain-like streams – already suggests that within this labyrinth of museum furniture, there is indeed room for tender melancholy. The evening will be accompanied by the melancholic, atmospheric sounds of Fion Pellacini. Cheers – drinks are on the house! 📅 Freitag, 6. I’m very excited to be part of this group exhibition at the Dortmunder Kunstverein, curated by @rebekka.seubert opening tomorrow at 6 pm. I’m showing a sculptural work as well as a series of sound compositions for the Nap Room by Bompas & Parr. It’s also time to say goodbye to Dortmund. Thank you for the six years, and thank you Rebekka ❤️ Hope to see you there 🌚 Save the date: Die Andere Seite der Nacht opens on 14 February from 6pm at Dortmunder Kunstverein. The group exhibition will explore the resistant potential of dreaming by reconsidering the archaic moment of sleep that accounts for one third of human life. Both withdrawal and connection, our dreams have a personal and social value, uniting body and emotions in darkness and the elusive realm of the subconscious. While concepts and definitions that have shaped Western thought since the Enlightenment are currently undergoing rapid transformation in the digital and post-truth era, the dichotomies of light and darkness, reality and fiction, wakefulness and dreaming also appear to be eroding. When the world is flooded with fake imagery, why not save our attention to the realm of dreams? The exhibition will feature works by @javkhlan_ariunbold @anne.bourse Die Welttraumforscher @_rosannagraf_ Jean Katambayi Mukendi @_rasha.omar_ @fionpellacini and will also present a new iteration of the ‚ nap room‘ by @bompasandparr We look forward to seeing you at the opening & dancing into the night to the sounds of @lip.71_ Thank you @ten_ten_team for the fantastic graphic design reinterpreting a work by Anne Bourse that will be part of the exhibition. „9 to 5 - A Matter of Time“ is on view until January 26th at ICAT @hfbkhamburg Contradictory expectations of time determine our everyday lives and also artistic production. We are expected to be mindful of ourselves and our own work, to slow down and at the same time remain productive and constantly develop something new. It is not uncommon for the working realities of young artists in particular to become entangled between the fixed structures of paid work and the fluid timetable of artistic endeavours. What different perceptions and perspectives on time and temporality move artists in the environment of an art academy and what aesthetic questions develop from this? What artistic perspectives emerge on the current ambivalences of deceleration and productivity? Six artistic positions question working conditions, time pressure, linearity and finiteness at the ICAT - Institute for Contemporary Art & Transfer of the HFBK Hamburg in the exhibition 9 to 5 - A Question of Time. 🌙zero is the moon🌙 Is still on view until June 11th @nova_artspace @bauhaus_uni - Weimar With works by Stella Dragovic, Maria Fabricius-Wendt, Saskia Fischer, Nschotschi Haslinger, Mira Mann, Passion Asasu, Fion Pellacini, Anna Raczynska, Vivien Sorrentino Inspired by the shapes, shades and stories of the moon, the exhibition explores on social utopias and their potential to be shifted, overwritten, and renewed. In ‚zero is the moon‘, the works by nine artists use personal or experienced references to reveal social contradictions and glitches, from which an overarching critique develops: they reflect on the durability and endurance of formative social ideas, break with normative traditions and create new hybridized and fictionalized stories or aesthetics - partly with and around the myth of the moon and its power for a new departure.
