(1) We are pleased to announce that ffforum.site is now live. Founded by @nikitaiziev and @vmragona , ffforum is a design studio focused on building identity systems for a shifting visual landscape. Our practice is informed by disciplined structure and controlled experimentation, and is grounded in an open exchange of ideas. Selected work can be accessed at ffforum.site. (2) (3) (4) (5) The landing page cycles through a rotating set of images curated specifically for your device size. Projects can be navigated using only the arrow keys, and folders expand like archive cabinets to show the scale of each project. A mailbox animation handles our correspondence. (6) (7) Launching soon, the Interdepartmental Research & Development Unit is set to release internal projects including research, tools, and articles alongside external submissions. Reach out to request an inside look at our unreleased work. (8) The initial sketch of the website. A special thank you to @arvinleeuwis for his continued support & dedication. Join us today for the release of Soft Love, a poster zine by @jakubgessler exploring the boundaries of social expectations and self-definition. The zine mixes a broadsheet-size format, a predominantly masculine format, with softer, glossy paper, which is mainly found in fashion editorials. Sirca, a re-imagining of Walter Käch’s classical font, is softened with color to create a new dynamic, which features boldly on the cover and the sweatband. Rasputin’s 171 Mare St, London E8 3RH 50 free copies, first-come, first-served. Only The Strong Survive. NADO is a decentralized exchange built for speed, liquidity, and execution in volatile markets. The name draws from storm systems and informs the project’s use of meteorological and data references. ESTUDI-IMAGE engaged ffforum to translate these operating requirements into an identity system. Typography informed the foundation of the system. LL Replica was selected for its grid built construction, with each character shaped against a strict underlying framework. The same logic extends into the construction of the layouts: modular blocks of information anchored by corner dots allow for a flexible way to alter layouts. The visual language draws from data and weather systems. Imagery is routed through a dither process into black and white halftones, which unifies varied source material under one treatment. Particle systems reference turbulence and pressure fields, drawing a parallel with known market behaviour such as volatility clustering and directional shifts. For the motion behaviour, elements move in short, precise actions that lock into place. Sharp flickers are used for reveals and dissolves to retain a digital edge throughout. Research & development of the symbols for TITLES. The Human Touch establishes the hand as a signifier, focusing on the aspect of human intervention. It includes a reference to the six finger hand, from an earlier, premature stage of the technology. The Circular establishes an internal feedback loop within TITLES. It is defined by three agents, the platform, the artist, and the community. The loop is to be treated as continuous and self sustaining, with responsibilities and exchange maintained between those parties. The Collective sets out a framework for multiple entities operating as one body. It is grounded in connection, including constellation and rhizomatic structure. It also includes a nod to the historical trinity motif, as a formal precedent for three distinct presences held within one unit. As the year concludes, we extend our best wishes, as customary. All hours have been logged and work for the period is complete. The studio will now be clocking offf for the holiday break. We would like to thank our clients and collaborators for the time, care, and collaboration shared this year, and look forward to resuming work together in the new year.

Our typographic identity for BRICKED, a short film written and directed by Will Stepney. A young father is inadvertently locked out of his home after being instructed to pick up his two daughters from his ex-wife. With his phone out of battery and no memory of the pickup location, he is left unexpectedly adrift. The film follows his search for a charger for his old Nokia, portraying his growing urgency as technology fails him and he struggles to fulfil his responsibility. Our approach features typography inspired by heat-transfer & CIJ marking fonts, which create characters from small droplets of ink, resulting in roughness and irregularity. These fonts can be found in various places, including phone batteries and other tech parts. A custom rig animates each dot individually, replacing one with another from the next credit. Research & development from our collaboration with @googledeepmind , alongside @bakkenbaeck . We were tasked to create educational graphics in order to demystify processes within artificial intelligence. Opting for a mix of rasterisation & dithering, we arrived at a visual language that aims at the past, while showing the future. Type design by @marek_nedelka

Dot matrix fonts emerged from hardware limitations, mostly following a 5Ă—7 grid. Stroke placement and spacing are dictated by the physical layout of pins, LEDs or LCD segments. The result is a system in which monospaced structure and pixel-level choices define all forms. We have developed a tool that allows for live feedback of the rasterised glyph. Rather than placing the dots manually, you can draw your own glyph or play with the curves of existing presets, which are based on historical writing styles. This project is part of our internal R&D and will live in a special part on our upcoming website. More info soon.

@impossibleobjects_ is a creative consultancy and showroom connecting brands across physical and digital platforms. The visual identity reduces the full name to the abstraction “I O,” with the space between the letters acting as a stage for the brands it represents. A modular grid system standardises layouts and enables efficient production across formats. Print materials follow DIN A sizing standards to simplify production, yet use unusual proportions to remain distinctive. By placing evolving brands within a structured framework, the identity positions Impossible Objects as a constant among variables, a stable system designed to adapt without losing form.
