New work for @robynhitchcockofficial - taking trips into Robyn’s creative mind is always a joy and this has been a wonderful project to be a part of. I contributed guitars, design, and photography to the forthcoming “The Confuser” LP. New single “I Am This Thing” is out and you can pre-order the vinyl now. We’ll be doing a handful of touring dates over the next coming months as well - including April 23 at @thebasementeast where I’ll be opening. See ya there!

New work for my peeps at @aconyrecords and @paramountpressing - OCMS’s “Big Iron World” is available on vinyl for the first time, cut by David Rawlings at @woodlandsoundstudios from the master tapes and pressed on audiophile-grade ultra vinyl. And always the premium treatment with the @stoughtonprinting tip-on jacket. It shall be glorious! I always get a kick out of putting together packaging design for older albums coming out on vinyl the first time… always feels like the albums are finally coming “home.” When this record came out in 2006 I was working at The Great Escape on Nashville’s Broadway, the late-great record store that this album cover was shot in front of. And “Wagon Wheel” was nowhere near the almost American-song-standard that it is now. It wasn’t yet a constant in every tourist bar you walk into. I was still underage at this time, but my Grandparents and I saw them play this album live at Three Crow Bar across the street as they were recording it at Woodland… seeing them and Dave carry their instruments Ty across East Nashville’s 5 Points to the bar at that time was a total vibe. Seeing live music underage at Nashville bars in general at this time had a specific magic - Nashville still felt like this small town secret - I remember them playing tunes off of Dylan’s “John Wesley Harding” and “The Basement Tapes” right as I was beginning my journey deeper into Dylan’s discography and record collecting. Lots of good memories here!

New art and design work for @reneeflemingmusic and @belafleckbanjo - this album is available for pre-order now via @thirtytigers . I created this art from a series of 35mm film photos that I took out in the Smokey Mountains and then cut up and colored to pair with the Appalachian feel of the album. This record also features our ever present household hero @dollyparton 🤍

New work for the wonderful @brittaylormusic ! This is the 3rd album I’ve worked on with Brit, but this is Fetzer Design’s first album cover to feature an owl. 🦉 This beauty comes out tomorrow Friday, March 6 via @thirtytigers

New work: the debut album from @garrettboysmusic produced by @raykennedyproducer and featuring @steveearle Thanks to Ray for bringing me in for this wonderful concept album about the Garrett’s family history - from Overton County, TN to my birth region in Akron, OH. We went through dozens of stunning old family photos, drawings, and journals to make the visuals come alive for this… I’ve basically been running a small Smithsonian-esque archival operation for the Garrett family. We ended up also creating a 24 page booklet with these images and storied lyrics. I added some of those page spreads here. Also thanks to @davidmcclisterphotography for rounding off the imagery with modern photos of this generations Garrett Boys! Pressed by the best in the biz at @paramountpressing

New work for… myself! Arriving February 27 via @fetzicon / @thirtytigers Make art and music with others and make art and music for yourself! The cover art comes from a Polaroid I took with my SX-70 of some of my Calder-esque mobiles in front of my back studio. I love the happy accidents that come with Polaroids when scanning them to a much larger, hi-res scenario. This was lovingly pressed by @paramountpressing and housed in a @stoughtonprinting Old-Style “Tip-On” jacket. I’ll be shipping them all in @mobilefidelityofficial archival sleeves, just as I store my LPs at home.

New work for this American treasure. We worked up a handful of art and design directions for this release, but ultimately I sat with Lucinda on my laptop in her kitchen with a glass of wine and we decided to go simple with it - And we bonded over old Blue Note album covers which inspired the type and layout choices. This cover photo was taken in NYC by the great @markseliger . I don’t take any of this for granted. This album has some real beauties on it - no one is better with words than Lucinda. New Work: album art restoration and deluxe packaging design for Robyn Hitchcock’s 1988 classic “Globe of Frogs.” I love doing archival, reissue album work because as a vinyl consumer I always feel it could be done better… and this is how you do it! Re-mixed and remastered from the original master tapes, cut by John Baldwin and pressed at the new Paramount Pressing in Denver, CO via David Rawlings. New art direction & design for the late great @lukebellofficial . A lot of love was put into this by all involved and I’m really proud of how it turned out. The posthumous album includes 28 unreleased tracks over 2 LPs with a 24-page liner notes, lyrics, and photography booklet. There are some great songs in here. It was wonderful to work with his mother, Carol Bell and friend Brian Buchanan on this project. Available for pre-order now and arrives this November 7.
