This month's animal art group prompt: Unloved Critters π
I chose the Star Nosed Mole (Condylura cristata). They have super nerve-y appendages all over their nose that help balance poor eyesight when theyre looking for something good to eat.Β
They love to dig, leading many lawn lovers to consider them pests, but I think they're cute little guys and i like them.Β

Feeling very encouraged and energized after presenting at the AABA annual meeting!
Being on my own so much of the time also made it especially nice to meet with project collaborators and umn buds, and to make new anthro friends. I'm excited for the next things, as always π¦·π¦

π This month's animal art collaboration π
The theme was animals affected by the revocation of protections in the Endangered species act. I picked the Uakari (Cacajao calvus), a less widely-loved monkey that lives in the Amazon rainforest.
I found them listed as endangered in some places, and vulnerable in others, but at the end of the day their populations are decreasing as the climate changes and protections and regulations are removed.
Here's the rest of the list!
