Be honest with us guys... would you buy this tote if the proceeds supported our NYRP team and programs?
We commissioned our pal @avonplinsky to design these awesome totes featuring some of the most popular native trees we distribute as part of our #FreeTree giveawaysĀ including the American Chestnut, Pawpaw, Eastern Redbud, Sweetbay Magnolia, and American Persimmon (plus the critters that pollinate them šŖ²)
Weāve been giving these totes away at our #FreeTree giveaways this year but want to gauge interest for producing them in a larger quantity to fund our tree work in NYC šĀ Let us know what you think in the comments! ā¬ļø
Recently got to do some very fun illustration at my day job, drawing Moon Rabbitās beloved mascot, Beano, taking over the streets of SoHo both in our holiday card and in three banner designs posted around the neighborhood. I may post more about these later, but Iām sharing now since itās top of mind - last Thursday, the project won a Mannyās award for best branded initiative! Very grateful for my whole team for making this happen and letting me go a little crazy in the illustration department :)

A little teaser for spring since Iām ALMOST DONE with this project. Despite how long itās taken me (Iām leaning into my embarrassment right now), Iām really excited about this project! But for now, Iām leaving this vague! Hereās a snippet of an illustration of Orchard grass, seen in black & white details and full color! More soon! Yay grass!

Iām a day late, but hereās a February animal art post with the theme of animals that mate for life! I chose the Black Vulture, a super crucial member of its ecosystem that, through its mostly-carrion (dead stuff!) diet, helps move along the natural cycle of decomposition after death. Black vultures are also super social creatures, forming mating pairs after a ground-based mating ritual. Scroll through for more life-bonded critters by the artists tagged below!

Iāve been doing some bonus work with a group of nature illustrators recently, and this monthās theme felt really important, given the recent push to remove regulations that protect the environment. I was inspired by a recent trip through South Georgia, where we tried to find one of these very special birds. We didnāt find one, but did see their crazy sap-covered pine nesting holes. The pine forests of Georgia are really something special, as are the animals that live in them (southern fox squirrels, anyone??). Weāve got to do more to protect them.

Feeling pretty awful and at a loss for the right words right now, so hereās a drawing instead. Please stick up for your neighbors and use your voice for whatās right ā which, spoiler, isnāt murdering people or rounding your neighbors up into concentration camps. My heart hurts for Minnesota and for everyone affected by this fascist garbage (which, another spoiler, is all of us, whether you realize it yet or not. We havenāt heard as much about ICE in other cities outside of Minneapolis recently, but as far as Iām concerned, theyāre not welcome here, there, or anywhere).
End of year collage just to summarize 2025. For me, in a lot of ways, 2025 was coming to terms with being exhausted (2024 was a rough year, both globally, and personally), and trying to recover. I made a little progress with that, but, while the year started with some so, so valuable art-focus time, it ramped up with my transition between jobs. Iām feeling hopeful 2026 will be a better balance between work, art, and the curveballs of life events. I might post less, but I want to create more. So hereās to more doodling, more crafts with friends, more art for the sake of it. And here are a couple snapshots of yearly favorites for me, for a moment of reflection and inspiration for more silly drawings of animals doing things next year :)
