We’ve taken a couple of days off grid to talk about the future of Feast & Fable. Balancing talk sessions with a bit of wild garlic foraging, sauna + cold plunge, walks to the pub and a tour of the beautiful @riverdaleyorkshire lodges… we don’t want to leave.

“But which bits do you actually do?” More than just the menu. Yes, food is central. But it’s not the limit. We create the concept, build the world, design the experience, and produce it end to end. Then we think about how it lives beyond the room. Food ties it all together - it’s how people feel the story. So yes, we design menus. But really, we design the story around them. That’s the edible engagement. ✨ Link to our full portfolio in the bio.

NatWest took a bold approach to launching Venture Banking - creating something you don’t just watch, but step inside. From day one, the goal was clear: if we’re telling the founder journey, people need to experience it from the inside out. So we built an interactive world. Four founders. Four stories. All unfolding at once. Guests didn’t observe, they made music, powered ideas, served food, and moved through the messy, ambitious reality of early-stage life. Then we hit pause. A panel grounded it in real-world insight - and while guests were away, everything changed. They returned to growth. Ideas realised. Potential turned into progress. Same founders. Different outcomes. That shift is the story NatWest wanted to tell - we made it something you could walk through. Ambitious for one night. Worth it. Big credit to @natwest_business and the brilliant team who were brave enough to go on the journey with us 👏 Also thanks for @storm_events @cerebrum.ents @mixandmatchlimited @natalie_k_marsland @_chefanie @benstuartchef

What happens when superhero storytelling meets the creator economy? Last week, with @disneyplus and hosted by chef and food content creator @tylerbutt_eats , we translated Daredevil: Born Again S2 into a culinary narrative, tailor made for creators. The concept, devised with @premier.creative , was to create a world full of contrast. Good vs evil. Street vs penthouse. Daredevil vs Kingpin. Told in three acts - Josie’s Bar, Street meets Penthouse, King Pin’s World - guests moved through the unfolding story, experiencing it from the inside. Each dish and drink was designed to reveal a different side of the New York as lived in by the lead characters and show how the two worlds collide to create story-full friction and tension. A luxurious Lobster-Dog, delivered in a branded street food box. A street dish of pastrami beef w/ pickles, reimagined as fine dining. A smash-able dessert, topped with a golden nugget. Our friends Mix and Match Ltd worked their magic with the drinks - my favourite being a delicious Barolo served in bespoke beer bottles. With short timelines, quick turnaround, oozing capture-able content moments, and many happy faces in the room, this was a great brief to be part of. A couple of weeks ago we built a stage for a conversation about women in leadership, for @puig_official In amongst the gems of stories and advice from the panel, briliantly led by @junesarpo OBE, were two take aways that I woke up thinking about this morning. ONE. BE NOISY For years, many of us have been told that good work speaks for itself. I have long believed this. But yesterday’s message was the opposite. Be louder. Not louder in volume (although do just say what you want to say), but in visibility. Talk about what you’re doing. Share your ideas. Put your hand up for things that feel slightly beyond you. And don’t worry that you’ll be seen as emotional, brash, confrontational. Because it’s likely you just hold passion for your subject. TWO. CAREER SPONSORSHIP Don’t just look for mentors - look for sponsors. Usually placed within your company or organisation, sponsors use their influence to open doors for you when you’re not in the room. It made me think about how careers actually move forward - not just through talent and hard work (which matter enormously), but through networks, advocacy and people who actively back you. We were there supporting Puig’s Women in Leadership conference with Feast & Fable, helping shape the environment for those conversations. But I left feeling like I’d taken part in one. So here’s a small challenge I took away from the day: Be much, much louder about your work. And be the person who sponsors someone else. Thanks to @thevinylfactory Soho to hosting.

Plot Twist. Lucinda Barber Joins Feast & Fable as Head of Client Services Ten years ago this year, Lucinda and I met working with @_gingerline . Back then, we were building something breathtakingly brand new, ambitious and slightly bonkers - immersive dining before most people quite knew what that meant. And Lucinda was right there in the thick of it. When I went on to launch Gingerline’s @flavourology Lucinda was pivotal. A sounding board, a strategist, a steady brain when everything felt exhilarating and chaotic in equal measure. She understood the vision before it was fully formed and together we shaped it into something real. Then life did what good stories do. A five-year plot gap. Different projects. Different challenges. Different worlds. And now - we’re back together again. I’m beyond proud (and whole world of other emotions including excited and delighted) to share that Lucinda is joining Feast & Fable as our new Head of Client Services. Lucinda is a rare talent. She understands large-scale B2C - the operational complexity, the marketing challenges and the stamina required to deliver at volume. But she also knows how to build rock-solid strategy underneath ambitious creative for B2B brands. The scaffolding that makes the magic sustainable, that delivers that much needed ROI. At Feast & Fable, where we design immersive, narrative-led edible experiences for daring brands, that balance is everything. Big ideas only work when the foundations are strong. This feels less the next chapter in a story that’s been unfolding for a decade. Welcome back, Lucinda. Ding ding, round two. Photo by our good friend on Natalie K Marsland

Sushi, courage & proper pricing: A female founder story In 2022 I was on the cusp of moving out of London. Feast & Fable was still in a kitchen table sketch book. And I was portfolio-careering the heck out of life. Enter stage left: Tomono. We’ve been friends for years. She had this beautiful concept - Tomono Sushi Party - but Covid had stalled momentum and she was ready to finally bring it to life. So we met up. We drank a lot of coffee at London Grind and made a plan. We mapped the offer. We did a photoshoot (then ate a lot of sushi). We built the website. We repositioned her pricing (she was chronically undercharging - especially corporates - so we made it fair) And we got clear on her superpowers. SHE is the superpower. When you meet Tomono, you instantly warm to her. She radiates generosity. She genuinely loves what she does. And she spreads the joy of making delicious sushi like it’s a public service. Fast forward to now? She’s flying. Hosting masterclasses and parties across London and the Home Counties. She’s collaborated with me on experiences for TikTok and Google and delivered a secret matcha ritual moment inside an immersive Pokémon world. All self-powered. Self-funded. Self-delivered. And honestly, the success couldn’t belong to a more wonderful human. So - if anyone in my network is looking for a dreamy, joyful, hands-on experience to bring some lift to your company, event or even your own kitchen table… Give Tomono a bell. 🍣✨ You won’t regret it. @tomono_sushi_party

@hestonblumenthalobe ‘s iconic meat fruit has left an indelible mark on the culinary world. His dish is a masterful study in contrasts. The rich, creamy parfait, the zesty mandarin gel, and the crunchy brioche toasts all work in harmony. I feel lucky to have made the parfait in the Fat Duck kitchen almost 20 years ago. Since then, I've revisited this dish in many guises. The one pictured, inspired by California oranges for a London event, incorporates cacao nibs and charcoal cracker crumb with a touch of lavender. Thank you, Heston, for the enduring inspiration. #meatfruit #hestonblumenthal @thefatduck

An (fairly) oldie for @brita.uk but still a favourite. We took over a coffee shop to deliver the back drop for a night of Brita talking about the importance of water purity for the #coffee industry. All our courses were infused with coffee, from this soused beetroot and soured cream salad to our braised kid goat main course and deep coffee chocolate dessert.

Late last year, collaborating with @seenpresents , we stepped deep into some @netflixuk worlds to deliver food that transported you into the titles. I got some much needed kudos at home for designing for K-Pop Demon Hunters (even though it’s now boring, apparently), but also loved crafting delicate bites for #bridgerton and pirate favourites inspired by Sanji’s kitchen in #onepiece This all took place at the soon to be gone @14cavendish

Two days ago Eventful Conversations - The Return - came back to @whiterabbitshoreditch where 200 event professionals descended to catch up, swap stories and listen to honest experiences from our amazing panel. Proud to be part of this movement with @iam.recruitment … it’s grown more quickly and shone more brightly than either of us could have imagined. What next? We are not sure - feedback survey to follow! From where I’m standing, so good to meet new people and catch up with friends and colleagues. And face my networking fears. Thanks to @mixandmatchlimited for their unwavering support, along side our other generous sponsors @ksseventproduction @wearerobotproof @wearehels
