Meet the participants of the Dakar workshop. This cohort of filmmakers was led by Mati Diop @matidiop and Fabacary Assymby Coly @fabacaryassymby . No two workshops are the same in our collective. The Dakar workshop was the first with fully formed scripts with Fanta Sy @fantasy.dkr (a film house founded by Mati Diop @matidiop in 2022 in collaboration with Fabacary Assymby Coly @fabacaryassymby ) committing to producing a couple of the finalized scripts. In partnership with @a.f.m.a.c Fanta Sy is launching a call for applications for young Senegalese filmmakers who wish to develop their next short film. Fanta Sy is a film house created in Dakar in 2022 by @matidiop in collaboration with @fabacaryassymby dedicated to supporting young talents and contributing to the emergence of new narratives from the african continent.
