LAATSTE KANS! Workshop door Astrid Boons en Faizah Grootens Aanstaande zaterdag 9 mei geven choreografen Astrid Boons en Faizah Grootens samen een workshop in Studio de Oester in Utrecht! In het eerste deel van de workshop dompel je je onder in de bewegingspraktijk van Astrid Boons. In the first part of the workshop, you’ll immerse yourself in Astrid Boons’ movement practice. During the second part, led by Faizah Grootens, we’ll continue with improvisation, focusing on the spine, presence, and sensitivity, building on the exploration of our body rhythms. Eind maart sloot Faizah Grootens haar residentie bij SHIFFT voor UNWRITTEN, haar nieuwe creatie die volgend jaar in de theaters te zien is, af met een open studio in @theaterkikker . In UNWRITTEN, het nieuwe werk van Faizah Grootens, bewegen dansers Justin Brown en Matheus Moreira door een landschap van ongeschreven regels. Wat gebeurt er in dat ene ogenschijnlijk simpele moment waarop twee lichamen elkaar ontmoeten? In het voorjaar van 2027 is UNWRITTEN onderdeel van DansClick #28 van @korzotheater . This month we’re sharing a short documentary that offers a glimpse into the creative process behind ‘On-Still’, a work by choreographer @fai08 created during her residency with Battery Dance last year. The work premiered at the 44th Annual Battery Dance Festival last summer. Later this month, audiences will have another opportunity to see this work performed at Vassar College on March 25. Het is bijna zover! Maandag 15 december is de première van onze voorstelling ‘WAVES WITHIN’! Hier een sneak peek van de derdejaars met choreografe Faizah Grootens en assistent choreografe Isa van Hees. Lo Que Nunca Fue Een groots huisfeest waar iedereen klaar voor leek te zijn, verandert snel in een dans van spanningen, geheimen en onverwachte wendingen. Binnen deze grote groep reageert ieder op zijn eigen manier: sommigen met zenuwachtige spanning, anderen met open verwondering. Zowel de innerlijke onrust als de ontlading komen naar boven.
