Introducing next Thursday’s acts!
☕️
@mount_jupiter 🥸
Mount Jupiter is an aspiring private art foundation for the expropriation of public funds. It presently functions as a snide meme page run by one, three or maybe several people but has designs on much worse things. Mount Jupiter’s current preoccupations include public campaigns to expel charlatans from Scotland’s art mediocracy and private DMs regarding really, really bad work, including your faves.
Bring your little tubs of ice cream to the club, Mount Jupiter have agreed to provide novel inspiration at each theatrical intermission. Through astute site-specific commentary and audio-visual accompaniment, Mount Jupiter will be your omnipotent guide to the DIY scene, offering factual enrichment alongside spurious lies, or ‘fabulation’ as jobless dandies like to say. Will the veil finally be lifted? No.

@newyearr_newmee 📞
Samra Mayanja is an artist working across performance, installation, film and writing. Her practice considers the illegibility of the body and the absurdist impulse to seek what is irretrievably lost. A continuously hopeful but seemingly futile act of searching runs through her work and manifests in performances that blend improvisation, slapstick, poetic monologues and tender vocalisations.
Samra, of ‘Call Centre’ fame, beams in with a performative intervention.

@johnwilliamfletcher 🎁
John Fletcher is an artist working in Glasgow. He is interested in modes of humour, professionalism, labour, and how they manifest in the world, and its effects on the state of mind. This transpires through different mediums including drawing, sculpture, sound, video, and performance.
A lot of effort spent to construct a place for hiding in plain sight. A performance in thinking very hard about success, and the results that come from trying really hard.
