see/saw is a newsletter about punk and rockānāroll music. I used to do a punk column at Pitchfork (where I was News Director); this is the spiritual successor to that. It features twice-weekly posts including interviews, reviews, playlists, essays and more. The goal is to dive deep and tell you about the good stuff out there. The logo is by the great @silicone_prairie . Be sure to subscribe to read it all. It has been wildly fun so far and Iām feeling incredibly energized by it. Thereās already 500 subscribers which is insane for the first month, and Iād love to see it grow and grow and grow. I have big ideas for where it can go, and that only happens with the support of readers like you! Link ofc is in bio. #independentjournalism #newsletter #musicwriting #musicjournalism #garagepunk #punkrock
I used to write for pitchfork, now I write for me. My newsletter is called see/saw, itās at see-saw.fun + reviews, interviews, mixes, and more. Two posts every week. Making this kind of video is not my usual shit, which should tell you how important this project is to me! Please subscribe, link in bio, please tell me what you think of my garage loft š«¶ #musiccriticism #independentjournalism #garagepunk #garageloft #garagelife
I make spreadsheets to help me get my head around my love of music. I wrote this essay about the straight line between collecting toys as a kid to collecting records (ongoing), the soothing nature of spreadsheeting my love of music, and the most spreadsheet-ass institution out there: the Rock Hall.
comment EVAN for a DMād link (because I want it to seem like everyone is yelling at me bc of my take)
