šŸ’„UPDATE: 13 hours left / $4905 raised! READ THISšŸ‘‡ In 2025: • We released ā€œHop on the Bandwagon,ā€ • sold out Flat Iron in Greensboro, • were invited to play Martha Bassett Show, • won the NC Folk Fest’s ā€œNot Your Average Folkā€ contest, • played with dozens of national artists at the Folk Fest, • and then I hibernated and wrote 33 new songs this fall…. And now… A batch of 12 new songs is ready to find its way to your listening ears. I’d like you to be a part of this journey in any big or small way you choose. The goal:A full length album available by the fall. **Before I go any further: if you don’t have money, don’t give money.** There are plenty of ways to support this band. Just ask. Honestly letting us know how the music has impacted you, means as much as anything. We often don’t get to hear how it impacts people after it leaves the speakers and hits your eardrums. It’s going to cost around $9k to record this project. I’d like to raise it by Friday. That’s my deadline. Then I’ll get back to my regularly scheduled programming. Here’s the deal if you support: • POTLUCK PARTY. Every person who supports with any amount, gets an invited to a potluck where we all show up in one place at a date/time TBD with whatever random food item you decide to bring. It will be a fun hangout for friends. (Give $1 or $1mil and you are in.) • PHYSICAL ALBUMS. those who support with $50 get a vinyl album or a cd (or digital copy if you choose) (100 vinyls/100 CDs available). • ASSOCIATE PRODUCER. Those who support with $100 gets you an associate producer credit on the album. (10 available) • PRIVATE SHOW HOSTS. Those who support with $500 get to host house show to invite 15-20 of their friends to. It can be at your house or another venue that you want to procure. (4 available)ļæ½ • PRODUCER. Those who support with $1000 get their name in lights. They get their name as a Producer credit on the album. (Also, the people will be the ā€œsponsorsā€ of the potluck.) No matter the amount you give, I’d love you to be a part of it. I’m going to through my Venmo in order to get rid of fees. The link is in my bio. Your friend, Evan

Read this šŸ‘‡ The past few years, I’ve developed a lot of relationships with local creators, songwriters, writers, etc. (Relationships and community are so important. This is a clichĆ© that can’t be overstated.) What started with a need to create connections between artists themselves, and then an experiment to see if we could create some carrots on a stick to get artists creating and sharing their original work again, has turned into a moment in time (and a space) to be present, put down your distractions, and connect with others. Is it too ambitious to think that artists can spur change in the world? Over the past few months I’ve been working with over 40 artists to curate a diverse and stellar lineup for the 2026 Nomad Listening Room series. Some are just starting their creative journey. Others have been creating for decades. The lineups are growing more diverse as we meet new people. (If you think of future Listening Room artists that I should connect with, please message me privately.) It has taken a lot of effort to get these folks on a calendar. Wrangling creators can be a hairy endeavor, but my goal is that all of them would be platformed, encouraged, and Here are the monthly groupings. My hope is that you would put these on your calendar and be a part of listening and connecting as a community. It might benefit you to be a part of it. It begins tonight at 6:30pm at Nomad Wine Works in High Point with poet Brian Boggs making his debut alongside Patrick Barry, Drake Duffer, and Tyler Millard. Admission is free. Artists are not paid for this. The way you can support them is by becoming their fans and supporting what they do. Hope you can join us. #greensboronc #highpointnc #winstonsalemnc @nclivemusictriad @gatecityguide @soulsessionsws

We @hop.on.the.bandwagon - wouldn’t be doing what we are doing without @flatirongso … they are important as a business, but more importantly, @joshkingnc and @spoonak are people. These people have bent over backwards to support local artists. They are my friends. Now it’s time to support them. They have a large monetary needs. They also need a commercial cooler and ice machine. Someone knows someone who can make something happen. Support local music. #savetheflat

šŸ‘‡Read this— snippet of last night It’s incredible when a guy can sub in at the very last minute to help cover for a sick drummer. Shane Key and Drake Duffer (not pictured, but still loved) stepped in to fill the void. (Get well, Ralph) They jumped in within an hour. It was amazing to see everyone come together to create a great show for the kickoff of the U.S. National Whitewater Center’s River Jam series. Thanks to the band, George Westberry, Brian Swenk, Jonathan Greene, Drew Foust and more … for searching far and wide for musicians. I have more to say, but here’s a glimpse. #northcarolina #nc #CLT #charlottenc #livemusic

Read caption. šŸ‘‡ UPDATE: Well. šŸ˜‚ Show tonight got canceled! So my 900th show will be at the @usnwc tomorrow evening!! See my other post. Hope some of yall can come hang! — .. Tonight I play my 900th show since I started this journey in 2021. I’ll play some tunes out at Summerfield Farms, north of Greensboro. I often don’t let anyone know what I do out there in Summerfield, but here’s the secret… I love that little place for trying out my new material. Songs that haven’t breathed yet. Songs that wouldn’t work in other spaces. Songs that are half-baked. And people clap and tip me. So I like it. .. I’m grateful for the past few years. They’ve been good, and tough, and full of learning. I’ve played to senior citizens in wheelchairs lined up in front of me. I’ve played to rich people in country clubs. I’ve played at ticketed events where people paid actual money 😮 to come see our band. I’ve played for tables of homeless people trying to stay out of the cold. I’ve played in 4 sq ft next to a sink in a diner. I’ve played on huge stages that made me feel like I was someone. 900 shows earns you this: humility, practice, and the knowledge that humans are humans. I didn’t think I’d ever make to 10,000 hours doing this music thing, but I’m around 7,200+ right now. Yes, I count these things. You know why? Because if I don’t count, I’ll lose focus, I’ll forget that it’s a marathon. I’ll forget that I have more work to do. I’ll forget that I’ve come a long way. It’s important to do stuff that is allllmost unattainable, but by grace. .. I appreciate you all being a part of the journey. The new album is coming along. It’s difficult and good, like most things that are worth it. Hope to see you soon. .. Above is a photo of my beat up guitar at a library where I’m playing for a nice group of folks who struggle with housing situations. One lady tipped me $20 because God told her to. Another licked her plate of food of crumbs after she was done eating. Take care of yourselves and each other. . . #musician #livemusic #learning #marathon #singersongwriter
