Come along to our Course Choices Fair on April 22nd in the Informatics Forum G.07, from 13:00 to 16:00. Everyone is welcome to attend. Get to hear the unbiased view of students who have actually taken school of informatics courses learn what each course is about, how it’s assessed, and what the structure is like. Along with the opportunity to chat to course organisers and cohort leads. Volunteers needed! Volunteer at an event to help informatics students choose their course choice for next year! You will only be needed for 60 minutes max between 13:00 and 16:00. All volunteers will receive a £10 Love2Shop voucher.

Fancy a break from all the work? Hoppers is having a pub night at The Golf Tavern this Wednesday the 25th! We have booked out the top floor, so come along for a chill evening of darts, pool, and drinks (possibly even some free ones 👀). We will be there from 20:00 onwards! This is also a great opportunity to ask the committee any questions you might have if you are considering running in the AGM. 🐇🩵

Hoppers is going to see… HOPPERS! It’s literally named after us… some may call it fate. Marking International Women’s Day at Informatics 💙 Tomorrow is International Women’s Day (8 March) — a day of recognising the achievements of women and highlighting the ongoing need for gender equality. To mark the occasion, our student society Hoppers is hosting an all‑day event today (7 March) at the Informatics Forum. The programme includes a keynote from Dr Fiona McNiell (@schoolofinformatics ), alongside lightning talks, panel discussions, networking sessions, and discussions exploring confidence in tech, imposter syndrome, and sustainable technology. 📍 Informatics Forum, 10 Crichton Street 🕒 Today — 11:00 to 18:00 (drop in, stay as long as you like) 🔗 Full event details - link in our bio. Hoppers & Women in STEM are very excited to invite you to our International Women’s Day celebration! 🎉 Following our all day IWD event on Saturday the 7th, we are hosting a pub crawl after party on the Sunday 8th to continue the fun…. We will be starting at 19:00 in Dropkicks, and will have a couple stops before finishing in Brewhemia (where there might be some free drinks if you make it to the end 👀). Everyone is welcome to join, even if you can’t make it to our Saturday event. We can’t wait!
