Excited to share conceptual images and floor plans we developed for the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum's new location at Stanton Yards in Detroit's East Village neighborhood!
@etalcollaborative collaborated with @marshallfredericksmuseum and @SVSUcardinals to envision a space inspired by Fredericks' original art studio and his collaborative creative process. The proposed program includes museum galleries, artist studio space, classrooms, and offices—designed to showcase rotating artwork both inside and out, with special attention to artistic process and creation.
This project is part of the "Little Village" development at Stanton Yards, bringing art and community together in Detroit's East Village. We're honored to have contributed to the vision for this inspiring cultural space. A collaboration with @insidesouthwest and @etalcollaborative , the renovation of Avis and Elsmere is a beloved community space that was designed by community members and uplifts the local culture in stunning ways! After interviewing 12 incredible architecture firms about how their practice structures inform their local work, we're bringing their stories to life through their drawings in a former #louiskamperarchitect building currently being restored.
Each firm was asked to submit one drawing that best represents their design methodology.

Et al. Collaborative along with @dcdc_udm and @insidesouthwest has been selected as a finalist for PORCH: An Architecture of Generosity, the U.S.Pavilion exhibition at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennaledi Venezia. Organized by the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas in collaboration with DesignConnects and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, PORCH represents the United States’ exploration of civic engagement, community building, and social and environmental resilience through architecture and design.
As part of the exhibition, Et al. Collaborative’s, @dcdc_udm@insidesouthwest work will be featured within the U.S.Pavilion, contributing to the broader dialogue on the role of architecture in fostering generosity, connection, and cultural exchange.
