We were delighted to host Whitney Michel @mmwoman , Chief Creative Director of MICHEL MEN @michelmendiary and @theblackbirdtheory , for a tour of Willow Landing last month ✨ Whitney learned about RUPCO and reached out to our team to offer her interior design services to make Willow Landing beautiful. In order to thoughtfully select furniture and decor items for the building's apartment units and common areas, Whitney visited the property to experience the space firsthand. We’re proud to collaborate with professionals who approach their craft with care and intention, because we believe everyone deserves a safe and beautiful place to call home. With Whitney’s expertise, RUPCO’s redevelopment of the former Quality Inn on Route 28 is on track to surprise and delight all who walk through its doors. When historic properties are damaged, it takes skill to execute the necessary repairs while staying compliant with preservation guidelines. Our client Michael's basement had serious water infiltration issues, so he applied to T-HIP – the Newburgh Targeted Home Improvement Program – for help getting his home safe and dry again. Given the property's historic status and proximity to neighbors, this job required delicacy and expertise. Our team connected with Collin Spagnoli of Lucky Leo Enterprises @luckyleoent and they got to work! ⛏️ Collin dug down to the footings, repointed the bricks, installed stone and drainage pipes, and applied a waterproof barrier to ensure Michael's water infiltration issues were resolved. The crew also repaired the deck by replacing the footing, bringing the structure up to code. This was not an easy job, but easy isn't the goal. Helping homeowners afford to stay in the homes they love safely is the ultimate prize. On Wednesday, May 6th, 2026, funders, legislators, residents, and community partners braved the rain to gather in the Hamlet of Highland in the Town of Lloyd to celebrate the ribbon cutting of Silver Gardens ✂️✨ This brand new $22 million senior housing development represents an investment in safe, affordable housing for older adults, offering 57 one-bedroom apartments for seniors 62 and older, nearly half of which include supportive housing with case management services funded through the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI). The remaining apartments offer affordable rental opportunities for seniors living on fixed incomes. It was a pleasure to commemorate this milestone with so many of the people and organizations that made it possible.
