Snow Day Project? What could be better than having your house smell like baking bread today?! Focaccia is the best bang-for-buck bread project out there, and my recipe for (Anything But) Basic Focaccia is the moist and puffy bread of your dreams. Stuff that with butter chicken (oh yeah!!) and watch everyone swoon. Or how about a version with bacon and eggs baked right in for a built in breakfast sandwich (bookmark the excellent fruitcake version for next December). Find my recipes in the current issue of @lcbofoodanddrink . AD @cathycicchini_studio đź“· @maya_visnyei food styling @lindsayguscott props @staceysmitherscreative

Why yes you can make a croquembouche! Frozen profiteroles are the cheat here though you’ll still need to be comfortable dealing with lots of molten caramel. Styled for the holiday issue of @chatelainemag . Recipe @michellelucaslarving Produced by @sunngo.studio 📷 @christievuong Props @raynamarlee on stands now!!

@cnutsmith wrote an excellent story for the @globeandmail on how to make Neapolitan-style pizza at home (published in this weekend’s paper). @christievuong shot it and I helped make the food pretty. I can vouch for just how delicious these all are. And now of course I also want an @oonihq pro pizza oven of my own (call me influenced!!) #backyardpizza #longweekend❤️

August deliciousness styled for @flavourfull.ca : Peach season is peaking—and it’s completely derailed our content plans. We had other things lined up, but this is all we want to eat: juicy peaches, cool burrata, a honey-chili crisp drizzle, grilled toast… It’s a recipe we shared last summer, and honestly, it still hits just right. The recipe’s going out in this weekend’s email, along with a link to grab the @flybyjing Chili Crisp that pulls it all together. Make sure you’re subscribed—and get ready to make the most of August. #peachseason #livemoreflavourfully 📷 @danrobbphoto props @genwiseman food @eshunmott

The summer issue of @lcbofoodanddrink has just landed and inside is my story on quick pickles and recipes for delicious ways to use them (besides straight from the jar). This Zesty Fried Fish Sandwich is all things PICKLE - Pan-fried pickerel with spicy dill mayo, pickles, pickle brine slaw and pickle chips to top it off. It’s pretty epic and a great weekend meal. At Flavourfull, the fridge is filling up — not with leftovers, but with truly excellent condiments. From spicy to sweet, savoury to sharp, it’s this growing collection that sparked the pairing behind this week’s pasta. Chuck Hughes’ Mild Red Pepper Sauce brings sweet peppery depth. Terroni’s Peperoncini adds bright heat and a punch of vinegar. Together, they transform an easy sausage and rapini pasta into something layered, lively, and completely crave-worthy. No need for hours in the kitchen. Just great ingredients, thoughtfully combined. The recipe will be in this weekend’s newsletter.
