Nils & I met years ago and first did a shoot in Miami. We have stayed in touch over the years and wanted to shoot again. My biggest fear is snakes & when Krystall told me she had a few, I knew I had to take the opportunity & I am now over this fear. This is string bean the snake. When I presented the idea to Nils, he was instantly down. We shot this in my front yard. Since snakes don’t come out very often, we had to move quick. Shot on medium format with a blend of continuous & strobe to light. String bean was very friendly and warmed right up to Nils. Printed these in the darkroom with Luke shortly after and here are the results 💚
DAY FOUR- “THE KISSING BOOTH”
Every year as Valentine’s Day approaches, Miranda sets up shop. Lines form around the neighborhood with people coming in from all over the country. It’s her busiest day of the year. Kisses cost $1, but everyone ends up spending at least a hundred. Returning customers are always welcome! What will she buy with her profit this year… a pink house? Pink convertible? Most likely both.
