Routines are important in managing my ADHD symptoms. One routine I enjoy is unwinding at night in my craft room and resetting for tomorrow. For me, it’s important to start my day feeling prepared. Taking JORNAY PM for my ADHD is also part of my nighttime routine to set me up for the next day. So, when I wake up, I feel prepared to start my day with my ADHD symptoms already managed with support through my afternoon and into the early evening. This is my experience and I want other people with ADHD to feel empowered to work with their doctor to find the right support plan for them. 💖
JORNAY PM is a CNS stimulant prescription medicine used to treat ADHD in patients aged 6 years and older to help increase attention and decrease impulsiveness and hyperactivity. JORNAY PM is a federally controlled substance (CII) and has a high risk of abuse, misuse, and addiction. Misuse and abuse of JORNAY PM, other methylphenidate containing medicines, and amphetamine containing medicines, can lead to overdose and death. Other serious side effects include sudden death in people with heart disease, increased blood pressure and heart rate, and new or worsening mental (psychiatric) problems. Seek help right away for chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, or new or worsening mental symptoms. Don’t take if allergic or taking MAOIs. Other serious risks include painful erections, circulation problems, slowed growth (height and weight) in children, eye problems, and worsening Tourette’s. The most common side effects are trouble sleeping, decreased appetite, restlessness, headache, nausea, mood swings, and vomiting. These are not all possible side effects.
