Honored to share that our Pebble Beach restoration and renovation has won a 2026 Julia Morgan Award in the “Residential Architecture” category from the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art. We’re so appreciative of the recognition from
@icaanocal and
@classicist_org , and especially to chapter president Nancy O’Connor and this year’s jurors.
Our goal was to thoughtfully update and preserve this c.1914 redwood-shingle Arts and Crafts residence, one of the last of its kind in the area. We repaired or matched as many original details as possible and gave the home’s interior a more functional layout, including relocating the kitchen, designing a new family room where an old porch stood, detailing a new interior for the living room, creating a dining room that doubles as a billiards room, and integrating a new, expansive second floor as a primary suite and study.
In the new landscape, we designed a stone-paved terrace with a few quintessential Pebble Beach features, including a built-in spa under an old-growth coast live oak and, by the outdoor living/dining area, a gas fire pit.
