Before Jack found his folk sound he was a prolific inventor of heavy riffs both on guitar and synth. Last year during the Miami marathon, Bryce my oldest of three sons, had a heart attack with 3 miles left to go. We were devastated. He ended up being okay, just over exertion accident, but it sat in the back of my mind when I found out he wanted to do this half IRONMAN in Oceanside today.
I was excited and nervous with a little bit of PTSD from what happened last time. Heâd been training hard, the weather was cooler, and he knew how to prep better now after having gone through what he did in Miami. That said, I had butterflies in my stomach an hour into the run in full summer sun.
By the time he crossed the finish line I was bawling, both grateful and proud of what Bryce was able to accomplish. Heâs my firstborn son and continues to lead a path with bright light.
His daughter was there to witness him overcoming adversity, and working hard towards achieving his goal.
He starts medical school in June, safe to say, Dr. Crane is a hammer.

Some people become part of who you are. Nav was one of them.
He lived with me when I was 16 and we surfed together almost every day for five years. Those years shaped my life and he is woven into all of them.
He was confident positive and led with his heart. He lifted every room he walked into and spread good energy everywhere he went. A true cornerstone of my closest group of friends.
He left too soon. There were more waves to surf and more life to live. I am deeply grateful for the time we shared and I will carry him with me always. đđ˝đ¤đ˝đ¤đĽ˛

What a year itâs been! From our oldest son, Bryce marrying the love of his life, Lauren, to our middle son, Eli, graduating from Pepperdine, and pursuing his music career, to our youngest son, Jack, returning to RISD to begin his sophomore year, studying furniture design, Eric and I have been learning the art of loving while letting go. From a full nest to an empty nest and everything in-between. Sending you warm wishes for a joy-filled holiday season.
I couldnât be more proud to share that my son @eliicrane âs album has just dropped today. He has been so diligent in writing, performing, and perfecting these songs.
Finding and connecting with Paul @daylightsound was an amazing blessing, and experiencing the music they made together was once in a lifetime special.
I shot a roll of BW Ilford on the Leica for fun, I wish I would have shot 20 now.
I shot the album cover at our studio at Birdwell and he even let me layout the cover. I am forever grateful that he included me in the process.
