One of the most dominant forces in the history of women's surfing, Lisa Andersen brought a mix of style and aggressive, in the lip surfing that brought her four consecutive world titles.
Andersen's ascent to the top was never easy though. Running away from home at an early age to pursue her dreams, raising two children, battling injuries, all the while competing at the highest level. Her ability to inspire went way beyond what she did in the jersey, bringing surfing to the next generation of female surfers.

Through most of the ’90s, a young woman from Florida with a whole lot of determination dominated women’s professional surfing, winning four consecutive world titles and redefining performance in women’s surfing for decades to come.
