Here’s to starting over.
The Bar.
Two years ago, after making my first student feature. I was burnt out, my health (physical and otherwise) was in the gutter. I couldn’t write or even open Final Draft without my heart pounding or panicking.
I had to stop everything to focus on my health until one day I felt better.
One day I could write without shuddering and I basically started over again.
The first thing I wrote was The Bar. I sent it to my people to help read, make it better and I knew I had to make it.
My sister @precious_eniayekan pushed me to do it!
Called @nnam_agbo and @symplyjess and they showed up and gave a performance.
@moyosoreoluwa___ held me through it and produced with me.
@i_am_bezalel thank you for saying yes and going on this journey
@kaizenkreativ_ thank you so much for this poster that I love so much.
Couldn’t have made this film without them and I’m thankful we did it.
Thank you.
We are pleased to announce Hope (@enny_hope ) as our new assistant editor.
Fill her desk with relevant story pitches, writing pitches and, most importantly, purple hearts via editorialwhatkeptmeup[at]gmail.com.
Hope will work hand-in-hand with the managing editor to form an editorial team that will conceive and execute insightful stories and essays within the ever-exciting Nigerian film industry.
This new phase with an editorial team will also include content repurposing across platforms for a unified voice. Most visibly, it kickstarted with the soft launch of WKMUp's YouTube channel (don't forget to subscribe, link in bio) where exciting video content can be expected in the coming months.

Just like new beginnings, endings are also important to me not because I love ends, they can be scary,
But because the closing of doors show that new things are starting and new doors are opening.
This one year has been a break I didn’t know I needed. It hasn’t been a walk in park and has taken grit, perseverance and also helped dream anew and see things from a perspective I never imagined,
Meeting people who have shown me love and are so open to share their knowledge, time and joy with you.
We are ended yet but it feels like a reset button for me and my career and I’m excited and nervous for what’s to come.
Thank you @multichoicetalentfactory .
Thank you @atinukebaabs@tioluwalopeo for your open door office, listening ears and an amazing one year✨
Cheers to endings 🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂☀️

Coming back for a second season as producer for Maggi Tales of Ramadan has been a ride! This show marked my first stint, producing for a television series, so it’s very special to me.
A second season has meant taking all the lessons and blessings from the first and doing again but even better.
We’ve loved creating this show of family, faith and food and we can’t wait to share it with you.
See you in Ramadan.✨
