The midterm elections are 42 weeks from today and we are more dialed in than ever @impactdataandevents . The largest impact on elections is made by registering and turning out NEW #voters. Our data model with @johnshopkinsu @snfagora shows the top trending #artists in each location w/ the most unregistered and non-voting fans. We’re thrilled to share our first ever #impactreport, w/ @mit and more, that highlights our extensive reach to traditionally hard to engage low-propensity groups. We’ve designed 27 free #impact concerts for 2026 to turnout underserved fans in addition to scaling our digital program that’s built for over 3,000 #artists in our data to turn out #newvoters. Thank you to the donors, foundations, colleagues, and friends that have already set up meetings to fund this work. WOW to everyone who came out last night from the Bronx to NJ and celebrated all things #VOTING at @ivotedconcerts #NYC! We also LOVE all of the #futurevoters that attended and got to share the stage w/ @_conniediiamond and @laybankz .😭 As in addition to activating new #voters, our data shows us how to reach those who will be able to #vote when #voting in the first elections one is eligible for is what determines if someone becomes a lifelong voter. Statistically increasing #voterturnout is what we do, but pairing that with providing free shows to fans who are telling us it’s their first concert, since tix are otherwise so expensive, is a culmination of community joy unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. We’ve built the machine for 2026 and are beyond ready to go! I get NONSTOP compliments about our best in class team that I take no credit for because THEY SHOWED UP. Whether it’s @nyumusicbiz students handling RSVP check-in up to the highest levels of the industry, all involved asked to be here. I am humbled to know and work alongside each and every one of you. We are SO excited to scale all of this in 2026 and beyond! ❤️🗳️🎶

Thanks to @snfagorajhu for this piece on our collaborative work that identifies the top trending artists in any location w/ the most low-propensity voters. This also determines where *any* artist will increase civic impact the most. As we enter a year w/ MORE open seats on ballots nationwide than last year, I deeply believe the power of this data is more crucial than ever. We’ll continue to make this available to ANYONE working in a non-partisan manner to increase civic impact. DYK what determines election outcomes is who registers the most NEW voters? DYK that 16 & 17 year olds can pre #registertovote in many states? I didn’t until @feelgoodaction taught me this and I’m grateful for it. However I did know that #voting in the first elections one is eligible for increases the likelihood of becoming a lifelong #voter, underlying the deep importance of this work. It was a privilege to contribute to @mit ’s #ClimateMachine study that identifies 33 specific recommendations with quantified emissions reduction potentials for the #concert sector of the #musicindustry. Now it’s time to put this work into action in a way that can also be fun for #fans. i.e. @amtrak #partytrain to @lollapalooza , more official partnerships w/ public transit that also rewards fans with discounts on both concert and rail tickets when purchased together, + I’d love to see bikeshare dock concierge services near venues the way @citibike does for its busiest locations during rush hour.
