The Man. The Myth. The Legend. @didierdrogba ⚽️🐐🌍
Last night I had the pleasure of hosting and meeting one of my football idols at the @giantsofafrica #African2024 event.
We started the event with a 1 on 1 conversation with the amazing and talented @_jamaaad who spoke about her love for basketball, growing up Muslim and how she plans to advance africa.
Then I had the pleasure of introducing a man who needs know introduction, the vice chairman and president of the @Raptors and @giantsofafrica co-founder @mars_jiri .
Which followed up with a 1 on 1 conversation with Masai Ujuri and Didier Drogba, which was amazing. The theme of the event was #AdvancingAfricaTogether based off the feedback and conversations from last night we are stepping in the right direction to build the infrastructure back home on the motherland.

2008 — I walked these halls as a kid who people thought might not get it together. I made mistakes, caused trouble and tested limits.
2026 — I walked back into these same halls not as a problem… but as part of the solution. Last week I got to speak with students, teachers, and leaders to talk about real solutions for our youth — because I was once the youth they were worried about.
Coming back to my old high school, seeing my old teachers, meeting the vice principal, and surprising the teacher who trusted me enough to give me responsibility at the school store… that was bigger than a moment. That was purpose.
I don’t share this because I’m proud of who I used to be.I share this because I’m proud of who I chose to become, with room for growth and real impact.
If you’re a young person struggling — your story isn’t over.
If you’re an educator — your impact lasts longer than you think.
If you’re a community leader — the solutions might be sitting in the students you’re trying to reach.
Full circle. Real growth. Real purpose.
