Shine is a limited edition of 114 art jersey designed by @elseed in collaboration with @theklabu
The choice of the number was not random.
In fact, it bears a huge significance for it represents, according to an UNHCR estimation in 2023, the 114 million people that are globally displaced due to war and violence. With this purchase, you will have a direct impact on their daily life . This project donates 100% of its revenues to generate clubhouses in refugee camps, hence fostering inclusivity for all!

All I knew on my way back from Lesvos in 2022 is that I have to share the exceptional experience I had there with the world through the magic of art!
The creation of this limited-edition jersey is in itself a journey that I did my best to capture in every layer of this special artwork. I worked closely with the @theklabu design team on every detail. My goal was to use the magical power of art to effectively translate the many moments of epiphany I had in Lesvos and perfectly channel my emotions into this artwork.
It was definitely a challenging task since I am not a fashion designer, but conversations never stopped with the KLABU team. I went out of my way to transfer the artistic spirit and energy of the art wall I created in Lesvos, and did my best to pour it all into the new shape of this jersey. I am proud that this project will donate 100% of its revenues to generate clubhouses for displaced population hence fostering inclusivity for all. In 2022, I was approached by the NGO @theklabu for a collaboration to support refugees. I have always used my art as a witness of our time. It’s a way for me to meet people, share moments, and tell their stories. That’s why it was important for me to first visit the Lesvos Refugee Camp and meet the people who were displaced there.
I had the pleasure of encountering many individuals whose stories deeply resonated with me and taught me that sometimes we can find great solace in art, empowering us and changing the course of our lives for the better, no matter how bleak our past may be.
I proposed to create an artwork to capture the essence of that memory and share it with the world. Inspired by the words of the Lesbos-born writer Odysseas Elytis, the artwork depicted: ‘Always, always, we pass through fire to reach the shining’.
