The Gleaming Observer
Installed on a balcony, a silhouette leans outward as a silent figure suspended above. Framed by the aged wall and
surrounding architecture, it appears less like a body and more
like an apparition of light.
The surface captures daylight, shifting constantly between reassurance and unease: sometimes luminous and
protective, other times spectral and distant.
Beyond its visual ambiguity, The Gleaming Observer stages a reflection on social hierarchies. The elevated position evokes
the divide between those “above” and those “below,” between visibility and exclusion.
Massive thank you to the @makerversity team that supported me with this installation, which is currently on view in the lower ground of @somersethouse .

The last project just finished!
“Passaggio Specchiante” (Liminal mirror)
“Liminal Mirror comes to life through those who inhabit it: it is created together. By letting go of the ‘one-to-one’ relationship with the work – an intimate and individual connection – a collective, multiplied relationship is formed instead.”
Curator @fran.gre
I am deeply grateful that this project is public, open to everyone, and can be experienced and interpreted freely!
The work is now part of the MACCA museum of Peccioli.
Thank you to the team that supported the project, without whom it would not have been possible. And thank you to everyone that came yesterday!
And thank you especially to:

Do we seek faith in the voices that confirm us? This work invites the viewer to confront the self that preaches, justifies, and absolves.
How much of what we call guidance is simply the echo of our own desire, dressed in borrowed robes?
Installed at the French Protestant Church of London, during “The Mystery of Personality,” organised by Whats4u.

We are pleased to share the work of Edward Raneri, an artist supported by the ArtEN at Tiderip Gallery.
Edward Raneri explores the fragile tension between presence and isolation.
Working across sculpture, installation, and mixed media, Edward investigates themes of confinement and alienation. His practice acts as a study of transience, capturing the delicate balance between the desire for stability and the inevitability of change. Through carefully assembled objects and forms, he gives shape to the often invisible emotional landscapes of solitude and disconnection.
📍Collector’s Note: Catch his work at the “Real Artists Sweat” exhibition at Tiderip Gallery (until Jan 17).
📩 DM us for a catalogue or visit Tiderip to see them in person.

‘It’s Still Raining Inside’
Glass, mirror, wood,resin
33 x 48 cm
2025
‘By looking at it I realised that it was still raining inside.’
Resembling a familiar household mirror, the work is veiled by streams of hyperrealistic handmade water and condensation, transforming into an analogy for inner rainfall.
