I just booked the biggest editing gig of my career and I want to thank @erikasabelflores and @tonynardolillo for believing in me. You guys are dominating your fields and don’t have to give the younger folks an opportunity, but you do. And that’s something I will never forget. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity.
Can’t wait to share this story with the world. The film is about The 65th Infantry Regiment, nicknamed “The Borinqueneers.” Despite their combat achievements, soldiers faced segregation and discrimination.

Back in May, during the MET Gala, I was in New York picture locking this film in my hotel room. Even though I was doing videography work, I wanted to keep my editing skills on point and with that came some sleepless nights. This year I edited two films that qualified for the Best Live Action Short Film at the Oscars. This is Malleable!
When I first started making movies at 16 I would temporarily write “Universal Pictures presents” or “Colombia Pictures presents” in the opening credits just so I can imagine how it would be like to be part of a big movie. Well now at 29, thirteen years later, that big logo at the beginning will be playing in one of the films I edited. Lionsgate just picked up our feature film, A Place in the Field.
It’s so cool how life works when you give EVERYTHING to your craft. Thanks to my fearless director, Nicole Mejia, for bringing me on board, I will forever be grateful to have worked on this with you.
