CANNES. 3 months ago producer @zosiags said to me “Hey, there’s this thing! Deadline is in 2 weeks.” So I thought - what if write something? Today. What if I can shoot it in one day, and turn it in on time? I called @xenteven @julibetancourth @jaimeandres.salazar @camila_curtis @wilromero and they all said yes to this crazy idea. I called @nick.ritacco and Don Peccia and they also jumped on the crazy train. Now, this story that talks about something deeply meaningful to me, will be showcased at the @fantasticpavilion at the @marchedufilm in @festivaldecannes I think the takeaway is: go out there and swing, swing big. Yesterday, we screened @deathintraining at @dreamworks … I’m talking DREAMWORKS!! Who could’ve imagined… I know the 10yo me couldn’t! I met @itsmiguelduran through @fannyvgrande and when he sent me the script I just knew I needed to be a part of it. It’s such an amazing different story told in such smart funny way. You are a genius brother, you really are and I’m just so incredibly happy to see you being recognized for it now! That was the best part of the day for me, seeing people appreciate and recognize your talent and your unique voice. What a true honor that was! It’s always great to get together with the fam because it truly feels like it. @_jared_trevino and @_mariel_martinez carried this whole piece like the stars they are and I just felt butterflies all over again seeing this film on the big screen!
