Next, Ed Whately-Smith playing Jeremy in “That’s Life”:
Since graduating from East 15 Acting School in 2022, Ed has performed as Capulet in English Heritage houses with a tour of Romeo and Juliet, in a basement as various characters from aliens to prison guards in the popular immersive shows Avora and Alcotraz, and on the screen for the short film Roadside Funeral. He loves combining an analytical mindset from his engineering background with his gut instincts to bring characters to life, or at least as he spent a lot of time and money on that degree so he might as well use it for something.
That’s Life is on the 18th and 19th July

Took a few drafts but it's finally ready to share. Massive thanks to @themocapvaults and @centroidtpose as well as all the other people I met along the way!
Now someone chuck me in a game.

I can't recommend putting on a funny hat and velcroing a bunch of shiny balls to yourself in a random building on an industrial estate enough.
In all serious though, thank you @garethtaylor_director for all of your mocap insights and @john_dower_director for the direction on the day. Also a massive thanks to @centroidtpose for the excellent setup you've got there, and for staying a bit late so we could get everything recorded. Lastly, I'm glad that I got to do all of that playing around with such a lovely bunch of people, I'm looking forward to being in a volume with all of you again at some point!
Happy to say that the short film @roadsidefuneral I worked on last year is out and looking good.
You can give it a watch here if you want:

Massive shout outs (shouts out?) to my little brother @brunopmagnanti , @marty.pritchard@dommccurrie and also many more for doing a great job with it!
A little over 8 years ago I remember lying in bed trying to think what I could possibly say to console my friend on the very real chance that she wasn't selected for the Olympics. 8 years later and I've had the privilege to watch her win a medal at 3 consecutive games, become the most successful British female gymnast, and see her step up to the top platform of an Olympic podium in person.
On top of that I've been able to see the effort and willpower that all of that took behind the scenes and can honestly say it's hard to have a more inspirational person in your life. It's easy to say in hindsight, but I genuinely felt that it was always bound to happen.
Still feels unbelievable though.
Small grandma sushi included to balance out the soppiness.
Nothing like being able to take a train to Paris for a weekend, and then deciding that an overnight sleeper train in a cabin with 5 random people is a good idea too
