The fabulous actor ALAN ROTHWELL whose death was announced today. Here with @janeslavin1 & @leigh_dash_anne with whom he appeared in the short film “Kayla”. We shot the film in the summer of 2017 and Alan was fabulous, kind, generous and totally believable as Stanley.

Homeward bound after a great weekend workshop in #skellefteå Northern Sweden as guests of @skellefteasciencecity@garethtaylor_director #erikokfors & I ran a 3 day workshop on all things Motion Capture for acting, directing, cinematography & technical operator students. We had a lot of fun while working hard!
Thanks to @pernillalindmark for organising, @fedorivanisevic for supporting and the fab and committed students for energy, creativity and enthusiasm!

BLOWAWAYS would be nowhere without VFX maestro PRAKASH KUMARARAJAN of @vfx_wildvfx
I met Prakash in 2023 when I put a call out on LinkedIn for someone to help me integrate AI VFX apps into our workflow when making the proof of concept for the film. Prakash answered and has delivered with great dedication, creativity & reliability ever since.
Early this year he came over to work with us on the green screen shoot at @mountpleasantstudio and now he is deep into post Production as he works with several AI apps, VFX processes & compositing on our hand painted AI hybrid short film. I can’t wait to see what he comes up with!

Just back from a great 3 days with students from @east15_act4digmedia in Southend. Thanks to @snorths_ for inviting me, @jamesgyles for support in the studio, @zuza_kurko for great movement mentoring & ideas, @odileeeeeeee for editing this video, @ngbristow & @robin_berry_creative for dropping in & all the students on the Digital performance course for their creativity, commitment & vulnerability in allowing me to direct and work with them.

Collaborators Part 1. BLOWAWAYS wouldn’t exist without my amazing collaborators. I met IAN LIGGETT @ianliggett2025 in 1994 at the Polish Film School in Łodż and I loved his combination of great interpersonal skills and creative talent at once.
We’ve worked together many times and he is my go to Director of Photography. In the last few years this has meant him camera operating on Motion capture shoots, consulting on digital lighting for video games and in the case of our short film Blowaways, planning & studio lighting the green screen shoot and being part of the conversation as we move into post production, via VFX and AI apps. Ian takes it all in this stride with a smile.

Just back from a great couple of days teaching a Motion Capture performance workshop at @ledhub.no & @danviklife with a group of enthusiastic & talented Games & acting students.
We created improvised characters, worked with masks, imaginary environments, power sources, realtime animation, facial capture, cinematic scenes and more AND we had fun!!!!! (Which is most important!
