We’re so excited to gather this Thursday evening ((5.14.26)) for a very special extended edition of Ecstatic Dance with journeys by two incredible artists Noah Proudfoot @proudfootmusic and Ghost Pipe!! @ghostpipemusic 🪘🤸‍♂️🪩✨ 🪴 Our first 90 minute movement will be guided by Noah Proudfoot and then we’ll transition into the second 90 minute stretch with Ghost Pipe! Bringing your dancing feet!! :: Noah Proudfoot :: Asheville producer, songwriter and DJ, Noah Proudfoot, blends sacred and rhythmic soundscapes with medicine bass, hip-hop, and world music to take dancers on a transformative journey of the heart. Dj Shango @dj_shango_ joins us on the dance floor once again this Thursday evening!! He hardly needs an introduction to our seasoned dancers, but if you’re new to our dance floor you can expect a mix of Afro-jazz and house rhythms that transport the mind + body beyond time + space. I’m a DC-based artist living with my cat, Eponine, and when I’m not making earrings, you’ll probably find me dancing. I hand-make every pair of Ear Candie earrings using recycled, thrifted, gifted, and donated materials. I especially love working with active fabrics—think swimsuits and workout gear—giving new life to materials made to move. My work is inspired by nature and the fantastical—seaweed, bioluminescence, leaves, feathers, mermaids, and fairies. I set out to create fun, lightweight, vibrant earrings you can dance, swim, and sweat in. Some people have even been known to fall asleep in them! Ear Candie has been embraced in a big way here in DC and has also traveled internationally, finding homes and ears all over the world!
