I think all my favourite drumming pics are from his eye behind the lens and I'm glad we've become pals over the past few years.
2025 went by in a flash and I've never been more present. I'm still trying to figure out how to balance fatherhood with all my artistic ambitions, while also trying to keep myself afloat financially without burning out. So far I give myself an 8/10.
Started the year off on paternity leave and supporting Anna and Francis while also participating in a writing/creativity course with Brian Eno, which still bears fruits. In March, we all jumped on a plane to Oklahoma to see Anna's family, then I had to fly back and start an Ontario tour with @danylajandthelooks with @lowestofthelowmusic which was super great, while also starting my @topictureshow season. Between work at @uoft , @solotech_inc@wavelengthmusic and gardening with @leearose I was busy arranging/help realize the upcoming @beamstheband album which we recorded at @thebathousekingston in September. I think I maybe had 2-3 days off between March and September. The rest of the year was a slow denouement ending with a great Beams show at @thebabygtoronto
I'm glad despite the many things I've chosen to take on, I got to spend so much time with Francis be there to witness how fast he's growing, learning and being a silly dude. Coolest thing ever.
2026 will be all about removing all the dumb boundaries I've created for myself, trying to find more joy in a dumpster fire world and appreciate the time I do have.

6th Anniversary post.
Since we married we crossed the Pandy intact, made a human, released two albums (plus recorded one more), have moved across the city and been on a bunch of adventures. So much love has happened I barely remember life before.
