thanks for the mother's day wishes! here's a little update for the francis fans/ a tiny glimpse into the anna world. just a tiny glimpse because there's so much happening in the baby/music/trees world that it's simply overstimulating and impossible to share it all. 1. giggly goo likes the swing more now! for a while it was just a perch from which to observe other babies 2. mike got me a beautiful bouquet! and francis walked me down the street to a garden, where he rummaged about, picked that little flower and gave it to me. he handed it to me as if it were a piece of road salt or lint, but i'm still keeping it forever. 3. francis being very patient at 1.5 hours in to waiting for the ophthalmologist. how can an office that focuses on kids have 1+ hour wait times with no kids toys?? luckily there were empty chairs and stairs! 4. francis got to say hi to upstate new york live on the air thanks to WBFO! (think he actually said "uh") - thx @joelgale.imaging for the photo! 5&6. i didn't know much big star at all before being asked to sing at the tribute, and i had no idea how i was going to prepare alongside working full time + francis-ing + aow-ing, but we all put our best into it and it turned out really well. thanks @tovimusic & @jodyeknight for capturing! i'm looking forward to resting a bit (i.e, doing 2 things at a time rather than 4) before our next show on may 22nd at the sound garage - ace of wands' big album release. hope to see you there!

Mike and I finally watched "Nothing Can Hurt Me", the Big Star doc, and it was so good. I love that I get to be a part of this show! Sat, May 9, cmon out to the Garrison for a night of Big Star tunes performed by some of Toronto's finest. Cost of entry is a non-perishable food item for donation.
