Seldom has a bike I built received such positive reactions as this one. Mostly because it seems to spread a good vibe, awaken curiosity to ride it, and speak to the inner child in some people. To me, this build is a reminder that a bicycle, besides being many other things, can also be a toy, and that cycling is a simple form of play suitable for everyone.
@brenwell picked up his bike a few weeks ago and took it to his new home in Freiburg. After a long, often difficult, and sometimes even frustrating process of building the frameset, I am very happy that he can finally enjoy riding it.

The @bespoked.cc weekend in Manchester was a blast once again. Over time, it has changed from being a socially stressful event to attend a trade show as a exhibitor into an occasion to meet people I know, whose work I deeply respect and it even feels like we genuinely like each other. @bespoked.cc was a blast. I just spent the weekend meeting all the lovely Londoners, shooting amazing bikes, delicious food, and picking up my @drustcycles cargo bikes.

I stopped brazing the head badge and switched to a bolt-on design quite some time ago. But this bike is so tiny that I had to go with the old way.
I love the contrast between the stainless head badge and the tempering colors from bronze-brazing the frame. Sadly, it can’t stay that way.

Touring cargo bike with a bracket for a @pinion.eu gearbox, mitered and fitted in the jig. I think I’m going to build an adapter for the anvil jig to properly hold the middle head tube. But so far, this method has worked very well.

Konstantin from @drustcycles has a way of building bikes that start with listening. This one is bike number three for Marm, developed very deliberately around his size, his riding style, and the non-negotiable requirement of bringing two dachshunds along. Off-the-shelf bikes were never really an option, so the result became a custom longtail that prioritises comfort, stability and load handling.
The long frame and upright position come without saddle drop, designed to extend range and make long days realistic rather than heroic. It’s set up for heavy (and precious!) cargo and proper overlanding, but still rides balanced and composed when fully loaded.
The build runs a Pinion gearbox, a 170 mm fork tuned for an upright position, and a belt-drive compatible frame. Couplers behind the seatpost allow the bike to be broken down for train travel, keeping it practical despite its size.
Finished with Wit Slingers bags in colours inspired by RVMBLE’s 10-year anniversary, the whole build feels considered and purposeful.
At this point, Marm might just be the business model.
