As we look ahead to 2026, we are resharing some of the unique engagements we did in the year we have left behind.
In March, we facilitated a breakdance skills development workshop to breakers based in Kitintale and surrounding areas.
This workshop targeted beginners & semi advanced level breakers, taught by @dropletsflower .
He taught - Introduction to semi- pro breaking drills; Share & practice concepts for building strong foundation movements; Teach top rock, footwork and power move transitions, and Cyphering practice.
This engagement is part of our ongoing efforts to grow the quantity and quality of breakdance, hiphop & urban dancers based in Uganda.

Together with our then collaborators Project TEN, we designed and facilitated tailor-made, creative based, hands-on and highly engaging seminars for local school teachers.
Through this project we awakened, inspired and grew creative practices.
Providing opportunities for enrichment, growth & development, exposure to creative tools, 21st century skills, knowledge, shifting mindsets, expanding Imagination, approaches and practical skills for teachers which will positively impact children, families and society.

About the judge:
Kimuli Steven Valentine alias Bboy Droplets Flower based in Kampala, Uganda is a community social development practitioner using dance as a teacher, performer, organizer and a battle cat.
Currently he is the founder of Community Exhibition Series,
creative urban art exhibition program that uses breaking/breakdance, hip-hop and other street art tools to build communities through organizing and exhibiting series of various events, artistic workshops and performance concepts.
He also works with Imagination Circle Limited as an administrator and facilitator using dance and creativity to find and grow strengths and talents in young people.
He carries with over 18 years of experience in dance work, learning and a student of DAN (Dance adjudication Network) with knowledge about the Trivium and Three fold judging systems.

On 22nd/06 we headed to Kitanga primary school with an aim; To share creative skills and practices with young people of special needs education centre, involve their teachers in the process to adapt some of our creative approaches to instructing impactful lessons and share relevant computer operation & digital skills to resident teachers of Kitanga primary school.
Over a period of 5 days, We offered a variety of activities; art fusion, dance & creative movement, physical mobility, digital skills, beatboxing/vocal percussion, play centered learning, making games from recycled materials, sewing, creating & installing communicative public art pieces, singing, drumming, and finished off the week with a school show during which our students performed, presented, interacted, shared, inspired and enjoyed!
We worked with approximately;
•35 children with various impairments.
•300 main stream students (P.1 - P.7).
•10 teachers.
We thank our collaborators of Edirisa UK for their trust, making our 4th visit to Kitanga possible and fruitful.

During a week long of creative workshops in Kitanga village of southwest Uganda, we introduced primary school students to use the very minimum they can get hands on and create games.
In photos, students are painting old plastic glasses and bottles and use those materials to play a basic throwing game that is fun, helps with focus & concentration, challenges them to physically move, teaches them health competition among others.
2025 marked 4 consective years of collaboration with Edirisa UK. We have been taking a team of artist educators for a full week to work young people with special needs and main stream students at Kitanga primary school.
Through creativity and play, we are transforming young people!

🎥 a summary of the 2nd edition of kids breaking workshop - a regular activity we designed and provide to grow, guide and support kid breakdancers as they develop their passion of dance.
One of our long serving instructors, @dropletsflower delivered this workshop with the overall goal of Redefining our breaking foundation well as unlocking the key transitions and other basic yet important movements.
His workshop covered a range of important areas, among the many he covered how to warm up using basic breaking movement drills; Identify how to use levels, formations and other body parts; Practiced drops, footwork and freeze variations and transitions; observed & shared useful tips during cyphers.
This engagement is part of our ongoing efforts to grow the quantity and quality of breakdancers based in Uganda.
