What a day off in the biggest city in the world looks like 🌏 Jakarta is where half of our team is from, and last week the whole team got to experience its magic 🇮🇩
From wandering the old town streets and walking through history, to a night exploring Jakarta’s unbelievable nightlife scene - truly a perfect day.
Along the way, we made stops with friends at @makandisalira , one of Jakarta’s newest restaurants showcasing Indonesian cuisine, and found ourselves moving through a trio of Asia’s best bars and clubs — @thecocktailclubjakarta (shoutout to @mokakiki — the cocktails were next level 🍸), @modernhausjkt , and @bottomparlour .

Synchronized Swimming (@swimsynchronized ) is a Chicago-based DJ duo known for their rooftop parties and sold-out sets across the city, where they create a harmonious blend of disco, funk, jazz, house, and deep house music. Drishay Menon (@drishay ) and DJ Glenn Coco (@goglenncocooo ) hail from two islands on opposite sides of the world the islands of Indonesia and the Florida Keys and formed Synchronized Swimming in Chicago, the birthplace of house music.
The duo's music is a fusion of different cultures and styles-creating an experience that transcends borders and genres as well as fosters a growing community around the world.

Synchronized Swimming started as an exploration of our musical passions and cultural histories—Drishay from India and South East Asia, Glenn from the beautiful pocket of islands just south of Florida and north of Cuba known as The Keys.
At the beginning of the year, we decided it was time to explore our cultural connections with more intention. Since then we’ve been quietly working behind the scenes — sending late-night messages across time zones, connecting with spaces we’ve never stepped foot in before, and getting help from gracious people we’ve yet to meet in person.
In a little over a week, we’re heading to Taipei + Jakarta for our first mini SE Asia tour — bringing a taste of Chicago with us.
