Known for his mid-tempo, high-grade trance leaning palette optimised for closed-eye introspection or outward expansion. Warm, hazy and laced with infectious groove- a perfect combination to release some energy. Outdoor or dance floor, this one hits just right. 👁️🌀👁️ Perfectly paced twisting spirals of illuminating energy, patiently merged into a free-flowing stream of mind-altering psychedelia. The 19th Update to the Virtual Utopia series has been programmed and released into the outersphere by LA-based Maude Vôs (@the_sound_sculptress ). Founder of experimental/off kilter techno label ‘Delusional Records’; they are also a producer, teacher, sound designer, DJ and live artist- so creativity is never in short supply. This sonic exploration makes it way straight for the temporal lobe, a percussion-lead tapestry of fragmented, crystalline drum patterns that precisely decorate the flow of time. This one undoubtedly leans towards a contemporary UK breaks influence whilst infused with the uplifting essence that resonates with the DS sound. 🥏🩵 Glistening chromatics reflect the flickering glow of a distant sun, whilst glossy chimes co-exist with gritty, mechanical groans of whirring machinery. Breezy pads and vocals softly glide on top of intricate, microscopic drum patterns- a careful balance of scattered, automated mechatronics combined with the ethereal gentleness of being lighter than air. 🫧🦾 Enjoy, and thankyou Maude for your contribution to the series.

The 18th Virtual Utopia update has been synthesized by London-based, sonic-scientist Wednesday ( @wednesday_dj ) a close affiliate of the corporation and key luminary of London’s swirliest psychedelic gathering; Sub:System. This update is a live audible offering from one of those parties back in December 2024, a forever-preserved relic of time. Hannah is known mainly for her distinctive mystical, darker, psy-infused output- but this time entwined with a utopic positivity which seamlessly bridges the gap between her phonaesthetic and the euphonious sounds of DS. 🌀🌿🧠🦠🪼 Pulsating waves of blissed-out pads morph like weightless liquid throughout this vast sonic landscape. Earthy, low-slung organic groovers decorated with a softer, gentle glow of radiating hope and triumph. Carefully selected, medium-paced tensioners to harvest a brooding energy for the dance floor, coated in a glistening optimism. The 17th Virtual Utopia update has been created by Mexico-based sonic scientist Gerhard ( @gerardocg90 @discoesencia ) - A DJ who’s sound has been immersed in a positive floating ambience that has always been a great inspiration to us here at the Dream Software corporation. Also known for being the head engineer of the Escensia blog and mix series- a constant emission of quality sine-wave based content with a trademark euphoric infusion. 👨‍🔬〰️🔬 A two-hour audible offering illustrating scenes of a utopian future. An existence imbued with hope and optimism where cooling airs and a warming sun remind us of the balance needed to exist in harmony here. Comforting pads and ethereal softness drift amongst the various genres and tempos that really make this mix a beautiful sonic landscape. This update is a 2-hour, perfectly paced journey exploring natures charming perfection. Drifting through mellow downtempo intwined with a infectious mycelial groove, and glossy day-dreamers layered with sheets of floating iridescence. 🫧🌀 Plants dancing in a rythmic symbiosis to the warming basslines and low-slung drum breaks. The 15th update to the Virtual Utopia program has been meticulously written by Naarm-based and China-born; Venus Flytrap. (@vft.flac ) Here she masterfully weaves microscopic spaced-out intricacies of IDM, ambient and off-kilter techno into a 66-minute audio-program embedded with layers of ethereal spaciousness and coded abstract breaks. 🩵🎛️ Through this lens, the peripherals are the main focus.
