We are more than excited to announce that our founder and Creative Director, Mr. Dimitris Papazoglou, is now a proud member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) @agigraphic ! . On his own words: “I am deeply pleased, but mostly honoured, to receive the news of my inclusion in the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) list of designers, upon assessment of this year’s nominations, which took place in New Zealand. Ever since its foundation, the AGI has been the world’s leading visual communication design institution, having in its ranks 527 distinguished and acclaimed designers from 43 countries. . Indeed, I would be remiss not to reveal my excitement for being part of this global family of designers, featuring amongst creatives who have established their own unique style, who have shaped the evolution and history of design, many of whom have been and continue to be a reference point in my career. . I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the (until today only two) members from Greece, Mr Michalis Katzourakis and Mr Dimitris Arvanitis: two designers who substantially contributed to the design practise in Greece, as well as to thank distinguished fellow Creative Director Mrs Liza Enebeis @booksloveliza from @studiodumbar for her support, guidance and trust throughout the nomination process. Last but not least, I would like to sincerely thank all those who have stood by my side all these years. . Warmest congratulations to all those selected! Looking forward to meeting you all next year in Basel.”

MIET – National Bank of Greece Cultural Foundation / Rebranding . Celebrating 60 years of excellence in Publishing, Arts, and Research, MIET enters a new era. This identity shift transcends a simple visual refresh; it is a profound tribute to a storied legacy and a bold statement for the future. . The Challenge: The development of MIET’s new visual identity was a unique exercise in branding, carrying a high degree of complexity. From the outset, the task presented two core demands: first, to create a contemporary identity that reflects the Foundation’s values, history, and mission; and second, to conceptualize the unbreakable bond between the Foundation and the National Bank of Greece, without overshadowing the former’s visual autonomy. . The Solution . 1. Typography lies at the core of our work. For an institution like MIET, which is inextricably linked to publishing and academic scholarship, typography is the cellular element that constitutes the footprint of its mission and work. Based on this premise, we focused on developing an original typeface, ensuring that the new logo is not just a visually pleasing wordmark, but a powerful statement of identity—acting as the cohesive link that unites the full spectrum of the Foundation’s diverse departments and activities. . 2. Connecting NBG with MIET At the heart of our methodology is the iconic NBG ellipse. Instead of a standalone symbol, the ellipses defines the negative space within the letters of “MIET”—a silent yet powefull and organic bridge between the Bank and the Foundation. . 3. Humanism meets Geometry Inspired by Cartesian logic, the design “organizes the chaos” by bridging humanistic intuition with objective structure. The letterforms draw inspiration from 19th-century classical type and the ornamental spirit of Ionic and Corinthian capitals. . Creative Direction: Dimitris Papazoglou . Project Team: Aristomenis Tzanos @tzanos.a George Sartzis @thisismynvme Bruno Rodrigues @brunomsrodrigues Vasilis Skandalos @somethingnue_ . Special thanks to the Branding and Marketing team of NBG such as MIET, for their exceptional collaboration and the trust they placed in us throughout this journey.

Publications on Maria Callas all over the World. An Exhibition at @nationallibraryofgreece 2023 . Visual Identity, Exhibiton Design Typeface: NLG Callas . Given the multitude of similar events in 2023 commemorating the 100th anniversary of M. Callas's birth, most of which based their identity on using photographs of Callas, our design development focused on making typography the main structural material for the visual identity. Thus, the design draws its inspiration from the very content of the exhibition—the publications about Maria Callas from around the world—thereby signaling the artist's global influence not only in the musical but also in the publishing sphere. . The exhibition features a rare collection of publications presented to the Greek public for the first time, which is a significant part of the collections of the National Library of Greece (NLG). At the same time, the NLG is highlighted through typography, emphasizing its role and mission on a national level as the custodian and steward of Greece’s intellectual heritage, a heritage inextricably linked to typography. . On the printed poster, several of Callas's names in various languages are presented through a dynamic composition, similar to those the visitor will encounter in the exhibition's publications and exhibits. Each language was typeset with compressions or expansions that align with the style of its written origin. For the same exact reason—to ensure the fidelity of each language's transfer to its written form—we designed the specific font (NLG Callas), including all the necessary letters from the various alphabets for the implementation of the final design.
