Customized version of CF Mod Grotesk developed for the new visual identity of MOMUS, Metropolitan Organisation of Museums of Visual Arts of Thessaloniki (@momus_museums ).
MOMUS brings together five museums: the Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Photography, the Alex Mylona Museum and the Experimental Center for the Arts.
The custom typeface, CF MOMUS Grotesk, includes a display version derived from the organization’s main symbol, where the letter M incorporates five circular points representing the five museums and their union into a single institution.
Designed by @fonts.gr with bend (@bend_hyperstudio ).

Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Ελληνικής Γλώσσας, 9 Φεβρουαρίου, ημέρα θανάτου του εθνικού ποιητή Διονύσιου Σολωμού , με επίσημη ανακήρυξη από την UNESCO τον Νοέμβριο 2025.
Η ελληνική δεν λειτουργεί ως μηχανισμός απομνημόνευσης αλλά ως σύστημα λογικής οργάνωσης. Οι υποθετικοί σύνδεσμοι εἰ, ἐάν, ὅταν, οι πτώσεις και οι εγκλίσεις δεν διακοσμούν τον λόγο αλλά επιβάλλουν διάκριση χρόνου, αιτιότητας και ενδεχομένου. Δηλαδή, δομούν σκέψη.
Συμπέρασμα: η ελληνική γλώσσα επιβιώνει όχι επειδή είναι αρχαία αλλά επειδή παραμένει λειτουργική ως εργαλείο κατανόησης του κόσμου.

H CF Ifigeneia είναι μια πολυμορφική ανισόπαχη γραμματοσειρά που περιλαμβάνει τρεις διαφορετικές σχεδιαστικές προσεγγίσεις στα Ελληνικά. Την αρχική, που είναι μια Διακοσμητική προσέγγιση, την Εναλλακτική (alt) που ακολουθεί μια εκδοχή πιο κοντά στα λατινικά στοιχεία και την Αντεστραμμένη που παραπέμπει στα Απλά της Μονοτυπίας. Παράλληλα, διατίθεται σε δύο τύπους αντιθέσεων· υψηλού κοντράστ για χρήση σε τίτλους και μεγάλες στιγμές γραμμάτων και χαμηλού κοντράστ για χρήση σε κείμενα και μικρά μεγέθη.
Με βάση τα παραπάνω χαρακτηριστικά, η CF Ifigeneia μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί σε κάθε εφαρμογή και για κάθε χρήση. Από την εταιρική ταυτότητα ενός ιδιαίτερου ξενοδοχείου (Διακοσμητική), την ιστοσελίδα ενός ειδησεογραφικού portal (Εναλλακτική), έως μία έντυπη ποιητική έκδοση σε πολυτονικό κείμενο (Αντεστραμμένα).
Η CF Ifigeneia αρχικά σχεδιάστηκε στο βάρος Light το 2004-05 για ένα έντυπο περιοδικό μόδας. Η γραμματοσειρά ξανασχεδιάστηκε, προστέθηκαν νέα βάρη και πλάγιοι χαρακτήρες και κυκλοφόρησε είκοσι περίπου χρόνια μετά την πρώτη της παρουσίαση.
Είναι διαθέσιμη είτε σε μεμονωμένα βάρη/στυλ, όρθια και πλάγια με Small Caps και Πολυτονικούς χαρακτήρες, σε 3 σετ των 20 γραμματοσειρών (10 Display και 10 Text), είτε σε ένα ενιαίο Variable αρχείο με δυνατότητα χρήσης όλων των παραλλαγών καθώς και των ενδιάμεσων σταδίων. Οι Λατινικοί χαρακτήρες και αριθμοί που περιλαμβάνονται έχουν μόνο μικρές στυλιστικές διαφορές μεταξύ των τριών Ελληνικών εκδοχών.
Οι κάτοχοι της πρώτης κυκλοφορίας μπορούν να αναβαθμίσουν στη νέα έκδοση πληρώνοντας μόνο τη διαφορά της τιμής.
CF Angeliki is an original, contrasted typeface that strikes a balance between serif and sans-serif categories. Its defining feature is the slight widening at the terminals, ending in barely noticeable serifs that give it a distinct sense of elegance and refined finish. These subtle flares also lend the letters an engraved appearance, especially in lighter weights.
Another key characteristic is its consistent x-height across all weights (from Thin to Black), along with relaxed letter spacing in text settings. This ensures better on-screen readability, particularly when mixing different styles (e.g., Regular with Bold), avoiding the illusion of inconsistent lowercase letters in small sizes. While some might draw comparisons to Hermann Zapf’s classic Optima, its origins are entirely different. CF Angeliki was initially commissioned for a project where it needed to harmonize in size with a monolinear sans-serif (also custom-designed). The monolinear was given contrast, and the resulting proportional typeface was refined with subtle terminal flares to help Greek and Latin characters blend seamlessly—since serifs are not inherent to lowercase Greek letterforms. The original client project fell through, so the typeface was redesigned under the same principles, expanded with additional weights, and eventually released.

Η ανανεωμένη έκδοση της CF Ifigeneia που θα κυκλοφορίσει σύντομα, εμπλουτίζεται με νέες συλλογές εναλλακτικών χαρακτήρων για το ελληνικό αλφάβητο της γραμματοσειράς, με τη καθεμία να προσδίδει ένα ξεχωριστό τόνο και ρυθμό.
Την κυκλοφορία της γραμματοσειράς θα συνοδεύσει και μια επιπλέον έκδοση text, με μειωμένη αντίθεση (contrast), ειδικά σχεδιασμένη για κείμενα καθώς και υποστήριξη πολυτονικής γραφής.
