Customized version of CF Mod Grotesk developed for the new visual identity of MOMUS, Metropolitan Organisation of Museums of Visual Arts of Thessaloniki (@momus_museums ). MOMUS brings together five museums: the Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Photography, the Alex Mylona Museum and the Experimental Center for the Arts. The custom typeface, CF MOMUS Grotesk, includes a display version derived from the organization’s main symbol, where the letter M incorporates five circular points representing the five museums and their union into a single institution. i-Speak II: «Ψυχογεωγραφίες & Οπτικές Αφηγήσεις» Εργαστήριο Ψυχογεωγραφίας & Χαρτογράφησης από τους BEND, στο 1ο Γενικό Λύκειο Ταύρου Πώς βιώνουμε την πόλη που διασχίζουμε καθημερινά; Τι κρατάμε από τους δρόμους, τις διαδρομές, τις στάσεις και τις συναντήσεις μας; Στο εργαστήριο, οι μαθητές και οι μαθήτριες συμμετείχαν σε έναν συλλογικό οπτικό διάλογο γύρω από την καθημερινότητά τους και τη σχέση τους με τον δημόσιο χώρο, με εργαλεία τη φωτογραφία, το σχέδιο, την τυπογραφία και τις εκτυπώσεις. Κάθε συμμετέχων δημιούργησε έναν προσωπικό φάκελο, ένα ημερολόγιο καταγραφής της δικής του γεωγραφίας. Παράλληλα, μέσα από συλλογικές συζητήσεις και χαρτογραφικές αφηγήσεις, συγκροτήθηκε μια κοινή γεωγραφία εμπειριών. Ένας χάρτης που δεν αποτυπώνει μόνο χώρους, αλλά τρόπους κίνησης, μνήμης και συνύπαρξης, και που θα βρει τη μορφή του σε έντυπη έκδοση. Το εργαστήριο υλοποιείται στο πλαίσιο του εκπαιδευτικού προγράμματος i-Speak του TAVROS, που για δεύτερη χρονιά δημιουργεί εβδομαδιαίους χώρους συνάντησης, πειραματισμού και έκφρασης για εφήβους σε γυμνάσια και λύκεια του Ταύρου, του Μοσχάτου και της Καλλιθέας. Κλείνοντας τη σειρά των εργαστηρίων αυτή τη σχολική χρονιά, το εργαστήριο αυτό λειτούργησε ως μια άσκηση προσοχής, μια υπενθύμιση ότι η πόλη δεν είναι μόνο εκεί όπου ζούμε, αλλά και εκεί όπου νιώθουμε, θυμόμαστε και μοιραζόμαστε ιστορίες. ⚡️TAVROS PRESS — Book Launch⚡️ We are pleased to announce the launch of TAVROS PRESS, a new publication series initiated by TAVROS in 2025. Expanding on our existing media and public programmes, TAVROS PRESS is grounded in creating a space for thinking critically, imagining possible worlds, and learning to both listen and read deeply. The series is visually developed and designed by Bend. 🗓️ This Friday, 30 May at 19:00, we will present the first book of the series, freshly out of the printer: ✨Bread for the Living, Bread for the Dead✨ This book is about bread, which is about life, which is about death. Eight perspectives from across the Mediterranean Basin and the Black Sea unfold through forms such as anthropological (auto)ethnography, short story, political treatise, fairy tale, and eulogy. Bread gathers, bread nourishes; it carries within it both celebration and mourning. A site of self-reliance, camaraderie, migration, and struggle over land, bread here becomes a lens through which to explore survival, kinship, and community-making. 🌀 The publication «Winter, as if it were» is a photographic album by the Phototonisos group, which began its operation in 2014 in the village of Kontakeika, Samos. It was the first ever photography initiative to operate in a Greek village. The group focuses on the sense of isolation experienced by the islanders living in the insular hinterland of Greece, far from the decision-making centers that shape their lives. An imaginary cycle of daily life, where time expands and contracts through a series of moments, each image leaving a trace on the next, like a conversation between past and present. Η ομάδα, μέσα από τη συγκεκριμένη έκδοση, προσπαθεί να αποτυπώσει το αίσθημα της απομόνωσης που νιώθουν οι κάτοικοι του νησιού, ζώντας στη νησιωτική εσχατιά της Ελλάδας, μακριά από τα κέντρα λήψης των αποφάσεων που καθορίζουν τη ζωή τους. Ένας νοητός κύκλος καθημερινής ζωής που η αίσθηση του χρόνου διαστέλλεται και συστέλλεται μέσα στις διαφορετικές στιγμές, ενώ παράλληλα κάθε εικόνα αφήνει το ίχνος της στην επόμενη σαν μια συνομιλία μεταξύ παρελθόντος και παρόντος. 📢 Εργαστήριο “WeMap” από τους Bend Design Studio: 5ο Λύκειο Καλλιθέας Καθώς η σχολική χρονιά έφτασε στο τέλος της, ήρθε η ώρα να δούμε τις συνεργασίες που ξεκίνησε ο TAVROS με τα σχολεία των περιοχών Ταύρου και Καλλιθέας, στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος i-Speak. Με μεγάλη χαρά μοιραζόμαστε εντυπώσεις από το εργαστήριο ψυχογεωγραφίας και χαρτογράφησης “WeMap” από τους Bend Design Studio στο 5ο Λύκειο Καλλιθέας! 📸 Μέσα από έναν συλλογικό οπτικό διάλογο, οι μαθητές και μαθήτριες χαρτογράφησαν τα κοινωνικά και πολιτιστικά χαρακτηριστικά της καθημερινής τους ζωής και του δημόσιου χώρου. Το εργαστήριο επικεντρώθηκε στις θεωρίες της ψυχογεωγραφίας, τα cartographic narratives, την αστική κίνηση και στοιχεία street art. Σκοπός ήταν να εισαγάγουμε τα παιδιά σε νέα πεδία οπτικού πειραματισμού και αναπαράστασης. 🌿🏙️ Συντονίσαμε μια διαδικασία επεξεργασίας, σχεδιασμού και έκδοσης ‘προσωπικών’ χαρτών σε ψηφιακό και έντυπο περιβάλλον, και την τελική παρουσίαση τους. Τα αποτελέσματα κάθε άσκησης αποτέλεσαν διαφορετικά κεφάλαια μέσα στο συλλογικό έντυπο, το οποίο είναι πλέον έτοιμο! 📚 Το εργαστήριο αυτό είναι μέρος του εκπαιδευτικού προγράμματος “i-Speak”. Μεγαλώνοντας σε ένα περιβάλλον διαμορφωμένο από έντονες αλλαγές στους τομείς της κοινωνικής, πολιτιστικής, οικονομικής και τεχνολογικής πραγματικότητας, η νέα γενιά εφήβων έχει πολλά να μοιραστεί. We are excited to introduce the redesigned website for the Museum of Cycladic Art (@cycladic_museum )! Over the past year, we have worked closely with the team at the Museum to organize and redesign its new website. At the core of the redesign are the principles of simplicity and inclusivity. Our goal was to design a website that allows users to seamlessly explore the expanding world of the museum, including its exhibitions, collections, and activities, while effectively communicating the museum's identity as a vibrant cultural institution in the heart of Athens. The redesign also incorporates the MCA online shop, (@cycladicmuseumshop ) offering a unique selection of products, publications, and gifts, as well as the new Cycladic Visitor Guide app, which enhances your museum visit with audio tours and specially curated content. As we are currently working on EP Journal: Issue 8, we took some time to present images from EP Journal: Issue 7, 'EUPHORIA', written by Mare Spanoudaki. The core concept focuses on the term 'EUPHORIA' (ΕΥΦΟΡΙΑ) as a hyper-element, where each letter functions as a vessel for the content, both independently and collectively. With this approach, we encourage readers to display the pages in either public or in private space, thus enabling the text to attract additional readers and function as a form of propaganda.
