Latest flyer for the Che. Hard to believe we’re going to be a part of this, let alone headlining. Presale link is in bio. Hope to see you there! @threeoneg@ebullitionrecords
California hardcore legends Downcast highlight Saturday night at Crucial Times Fest! Originally active between 1989-1993, Downcast reunited in 2015 and continue to make music that advances critical thought, community, creativity, and opposition to oppression. We’re stoked to welcome them to Spokane!
Crucial Times Fest will take place May 29-30 at the Guardian in Spokane, WA. Featuring 23 DIY hardcore bands from across the PNW, proceeds will support immigrant justice and aid. Tickets are $15 per session or $35 for the weekend and can be purchased in advance or at the door. Students can get a weekend pass at the door with their student ID for $25. More info and ticket link in bio.

Excited for the upcoming shows in the PNW with @wakeofhumanty253 . Stoked on the energy our new drummer @apesdosmile is bringing to the band. Almost feels like we’re 20 again. We’re gonna go as hard as we can until we can’t go anymore. Hope to see you out there. Come say hi. @ebullitionrecords@threeoneg
Give Me Back-compilation LP Ebullition
Killer Ebullition comp from back in the day complete with the Ebullition style booklet cover. Pretty stellar that Kent and Co managed to get a Bikini Kill track on here.
This was also the first time hearing @endofthelinesd and damn did it hit! Still love the opening sample for their track “I conduct funeral services almost daily.” Pretty sure I bought the EOTL 12” immediately after that.
Apologies for the iffy photos, they’re from January when I was trying to figure out how to take pics and post things. Didn’t feel like going back and reshooting the entire booklet either.

Downcast-s/t LP Ebullition
Don’t exactly recall how I first heard of Downcast. It was likely through @kentmcclard No Answers zine. Soon after I did mailorder their demo, also likely through Kent and @ebullitionrecords
The vocals on the demo were very different from their vinyl releases as far as I remember. As such, their vinyl had a much bigger impact on me, they sounded much more powerful and forceful which made the songs hit harder.
I think the only song form the demo that was never re-recorded and released again was “Everything” which was also the name of the demo. This is all from memory so apologies if I get anything wrong.
So here are 2 copies of the Downcast LP, one first pressing and one second, remastered pressing which sounds much better than the first. Pretty sure I bought the second copy for $3 while staying at Ebullition HQ one time for a show.
I do miss the old Ebullition style booklet covers of yore and also understand how stupidly expensive it would be to recreate currently.
Anyhow this was a great record. The song Hope felt like the natural album closer to me and is still my favorite song on here.

Edit: still working on making my photo edits better. Sorry about that
