906 interwoven cues later… it’s a wrap.
The end of a crazy long take.
Beyond the challenge of busking the lighting in real time, what I loved most on this film was building the backbone — the system running underneath the shot.
All of this was made possible by technology that didn’t even exist a few years ago on movie sets.
A centralized, structured setup controlling position, focus, beam, diffusion, color and intensity — Full Spectrum Premium Quality LED — made it possible to deploy the lighting architecture I truly believe in.
A system.
A logic.
A flow.
Motorized yokes and Fresnels, COB C4 & C8 engines, dyLOS mapping, CRMX2, networked control —
this quiet electronic evolution is pushing cinematic lighting to the next level.
Huge respect to the brilliant minds shaping the future of light.

Technical tools are the engines of artistic revolutions.
And our revolutions are silent:
Workflow.
Networks.
Automation.
Protocols.
Patching.
Data.
Synchronization.
System design.
This isn’t about gear.
It’s bigger than individuals.
It’s about a mindset.
A vision.
A philosophy.
It’s inevitable.
It’s unstoppable.
Building a coherent lighting language.
Defining a method.
Creating a signature.
Owning a singular approach.
Because at some point, technology alone isn’t enough.
Beyond the machines, what really holds everything together is trust, instinct and understanding.
Technology at the center.
People at the heart.
Big thanks to my crew for making this journey possible.

Thanks to NANLUX for this WORLD PREMIERE !
Today, lighting is no longer about accumulating equipment.
For the past 25 years, my goal on set has been simple:
centralize, simplify, control, and optimize — always serving the DoP and the director with modern, efficient tools.
One unified control system.
A consistent lighting language.
Real-time responsiveness in service of the film.
With Nanlux systems and motorized yokes, lighting becomes mobile, precise, and alive.
Less handling.
Less downtime.
More creativity.
Fully gaffer-proof.
Fully serviceable in France.
Our craft is evolving.
Technology is moving fast.
Productions expect more efficiency, more flexibility, and smarter solutions.
The question is no longer how we worked yesterday.
The real question is: are we ready for what the set is becoming?
Because in this industry, the future belongs to those who move forward together.

I’m deeply grateful to the partners who support me every day:
Nanlux, who selected me as an ambassador and beta tester for their new motorized yokes for the Evoke 2400 and 5000.
We’ve been running 8 units on set continuously since early January.
