Highlights from last weekend’s 130th Boston Marathon:
Both John Korir and Sharon Lokedi defended their Boston Marathon titles in incredible form. Korir
set a new course record in 2:01:52, and Lokedi blazed a 2:18:51, second all-time best (only behind her own 2025 performance).
Jess McClain raised the bar with her second consecutive top American finish and set a new American Course Record in 2:20:49. Four American Women charged the Top Ten, including Emily Sisson - local New Englander, in her Boston debut, repping the hometown New Balance kit.
Zouhair Talbi led the American Men in 2:03:45 and claimed a new American Course Record and the fastest known marathon time in regular prescription glasses. Along the way, he became a new folk hero for all who run in glasses (myself included).
Richard Whitehead won his Para Athlete Division in 2:50:50, just six days before setting a new double amputee above the knee World Record at the London Marathon in 2:40:25.
Clayton Young set his second consecutive personal best at the Boston Marathon in 2:05:41. Racing under a new team kit, and without his longtime racing buddy, Clayton continues to step into his own spotlight.
Everyone always talks about how running is one of the most accessible sports. All you need is shoes. We need to talk more about how accessible it is to watch pro running. All you need is a cowbell and some snacks.
Grateful to share the day with @dashingwhippets teammates.
Only the bravest ❤️🔥 OSR30 is a race like no other. 30 miles around Manhattan. No fixed route, no street closures, only checkpoints and a bike escort to guide the way. Runners navigate topography, tactics, and their own tenacity to complete the journey on their own terms.
Congratulations to all the runners and bike escorts who made Orchard Street the biggest block party in NYC.

Scenes from Sunday’s @usatf Indoor National Championship at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
New York City is in a big Track and Field year, hosting US Nationals for both indoors and outdoors in 2026. Alongside @millrosegames@athlos and @armorynyc NYC has a real claim to Track City USA.
Amazingly, Ocean Breeze is a @nycparks facility. Immediately after Jordan Anthony ran a world-leading 60m in 6.45 seconds, the staff began turning the building over to prepare for the next day’s 6:00am pickleball practice for seniors. Only in New York 🗽
Dr. Sander Columbia Scorcher brought the heat to the @armorynyc track this weekend. Pro-elite, collegiate, and club athletes brought fast performances to set the stage for the big show @millrosegames this coming weekend. 🔥🔥
10.17-19.2025 Open House New York last month was the best weekend yet. Hundreds of free drop in sites that aren’t usually open to the public - in all five boroughs. It was great to see behind the scenes at Central Park, Brooklyn Army Terminal, Rockefeller Center and more. Until next year!
It’s getting harder to get into the New York City Marathon each year. Consider Open House New York for your next NYC 5 borough adventure!

The real start to summer: the @openhousenewyork sunset boat tour on @circlelinenyc . What a way to beat the heat with waterfront breezes and historical narration by @turnstiletours - plus a surprise appearance by the Staten Island Ferry in the East River!
05.25.2025 - Indy 500 - Had a blast at the greatest spectacle in racing! The massive scale of the track, the unreal speed of the Indycars, and the loud roar of 350,000 fans 🏎️🏁
